So would that mean we're getting no sequel era projects?
Disney just needs to back the Brinks truck up to Adam Driver's house. That is the only character anyone cares about. It's hard to see anyone saying years from now how they want to see Rey and her simp. People say that eventually people will come around on the sequel trilogy like they did on the prequels but what they forget is the prequel trilogy featured characters that people cared about.
So bring Driver back and show us what happens when everyone in the universe hates you.

The TV slate is all I care about when it comes to this franchise now. The movies have been a mess.

Really? Simp?

Disney did Boyega dirty.

For the record, some of us never came around on the prequels. What Disney needs to do is come right out and say that the sequels are just one of many potential futures for the Star Wars movies.

They will have to drop the episode titles from the movies and throw them into Legends for that to stick.

Fuck that. Let Ben The Trash Can stay dead.
Give Boyega’s production company some say in making a Finn story. Have someone slap LFL around to realize how they did Rey dirty and have her express horror at kissing a Neo-Nazi School Shooter and get repackaged. Geoff John’s-retcon as much of TLJ’s stain off the face of the Earth as possible. Invent a girlfriend and kid of Luke who were offscreen for some reason.
Do whatever, just don’t let Rian Johnson’s shitty-ass bad taste read it’s head again.

No way they do that. It's too much like admitting that they could be wrong. They will just keep skipping around it hoping that the generation they made it for will move on to something else, which is actually a very good plan. Not really feeling any real excitement for these characters it's more like "Well that was interesting, on to the next thing". Unlike the prequel trilogy Disney isn't reinforcing the characters in animation or other worthwhile media unless you count the park.
That is why I always find it strange when people just assume that the sequel trilogy will get it's time in the sun. If Nostalgia brings anything back from this period it's going to be The Mandalorian

...I don't think I've seen anyone say that, I think the assumption I've seen from most that the sequels will be allowed to simply be forgotten while Disney moves on with other projects.

I wouldn't say that Disney is totally ignoring the ST that much. Pretty much every current SW comic, although set during the OT, is setting up elements of the ST: Ochi of Bestoon is a supporting character in the Darth Vader monthly, Poe's parents are in the regular SW monthly, The Knights of Ren are going to be in the Qi'ra series....and there's a novel coming out next year that will deal with Luke and Lando's quest to find Exegol.

Yeah, they’re fine with that stuff, which makes sense, as most of that stuff gives them flexibility to set their own oath without stepping on any toes.
They’re still going to be very skittish about the main characters of the ST because of how they screwed up handling Poe (making a comic based off the TFA characterization only for TLJ to completely ignore that and TROS to try and explain that in a bad way,) still don’t get why Ben Solo is just as poisonous as he is popular (they’ve always been in denial about the fact he wasn’t that complex, deep, or sympathetic without applying a massive double standard,) they clearly still don’t want to get Finn or use him well (they’re still scared he’d overshadow Ben Solo and now have denial about any racism they allowed to demote him,) and they’ve got no idea what to do with Rey going forward (she was such an afterthought for LFL even they must know she’s underdeveloped and unpopular because of how much they focused on Ben.)

They will have to at some point. Mandalorian is the new point of Star Wars now and when it progresses forward in that timeline something's gotta give.
-
Still according to the current canon not a lot happens of any huge consequence until roughly around 5 years before TFA (28 ABY).

Or they will just jump back to the High Republic?
-
I don’t even know if the High Republic is worth all that much. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a success for what it is thus far… but what it is thus far is a comic and book restricted setting. That’s be good for a cartoon or live action show… but I think the Old Republic timeline (all the way up to that last war with the Sith that’s thousands of years away from both the films and the more popular video games) is more profitable simply because as cool as the Jedi at the height of their power are, time periods with more dark siders are naturally more profitable.
