I'm enjoying the story thus far, but I'm also unsure as to what larger goal it's trying to accomplish that hasn't already been checked off by Doomsday Clock and Death Metal.y
Exploring the Multiverse and spotlighting underused characters and the entire DC Universe? I mean, those books did it there but this feels more like an ongoing story rather than an event book.
I'd compare it more to 52.
So does this mean we are eventually getting an Infinity Inc. and a JSA book when this is all over?
I really hope so. As you said I would buy both just like you. I believe many others will as well.

Williamson said It is like 52 leading to the new Crisis. But nothing was announced in the last solicitations.

Well the new crisis I think is happening next year in 2022, I’ve heard Williamson say that the main story once it’s concluded will then spread out into other books before coming back for the Crisis.

...I really don't think we need another Crisis.

That's how you know we're getting one.

Agreed. I do not believe we need another one for a very long time.

Maybe I'm mixing something up but 52 didn't lead to any event, it dealt with Infinite Crisis fallout, no?
-
Another Crisis is coming anyway. Probably more stuff will be debooted.

That's precisely what it did, which seemingly bothered Didio and that's why Countdown drove the DCU down a dark path the following year.

Not sure it will be a “Crisis” but there will be an “event” that all of this feeds into.

Look how long it's taken DC to do much of anything with the Justice Society of America beyond occasional appearances since the start of Rebirth?

How many signs have there been so far that anybody with authority at DC is committed to doing anything with the JSA for the long term?
I'm sorry, but considering how the JSA has been treated in the past, I'm a bit skeptical until DC actually does something more concrete with them.

So Infinite Frontier is more like a Countdown to Final Crisis then.

I really hope not.
