Preview: Doctor Doom #8
Things are getting close to the finale of this series....dark times ahead?
I'm sure going to miss this series when it's all over.

Yeah. There's still the Iron Man/Doom one shot in december at least. Could be seen as kind of a coda to the series I guess.

True. And I was just looking at the advance list of comics coming in January 2021 and there is no new Doom appearance. Guess I got spoiled.

Yeah, I thought it was solicited as an ongoing but maybe things changed when Cantwell was given Iron Man. But the sales were good. I think anytime you are in the top 100 you doing all right...top 50 is even better. The thing is that the title gained some momentum just before the pandemic shutdown and even was selling better than Slott's Fantastic Four. Since I am kind of nerdy about these things, I used the estimates from ComicChron to plot the sales with an Excel file. I can only find rankings, no estimated sales for September and for that month the title ranked 57th. But there was also an update that Doctor Doom #7 hit the top of the reorder list for comic books further down towards the bottom of the page. They used to give out estimates units sold but they stopped doing it during the pandemic since I guess things went a bit haywire. Perhaps due to DC not using Diamond Distributors anymore. Diamond always used Batman for their sales index calculations.
