I've been where you are Bula...
I love Jean and Forge and Beast and Sage and Colossus but I don't like Percy's current story direction at all. And clearly, because these stories are written well in advance of when we actually read them, this is not going to change anytime soon.
So my options were:
Do I remain "hostage" to my continued disappointment and lack of interest?
Or...
Do I cut ties and focus on what I do think is interesting and entertaining?
For the sake of my mental health, emotional stability and enjoyment of this hobby, I chose the second option.
-
Tell that to Jo Duffy. Marvel hired her. It's probably good for her that she didn't decide she wasn't "special" enough to have a well formed opinion and just kept it to herself.
I'm not encouraging people to be rude and if you ask a question even bordering on rude it will and should definitely get ignored. But there is nothing wrong with asking challenging questions and showing genuine interest in the destiny of your favorite characters. Maybe sales would improve if readers were listened to when it's important.
Again - everyone submit your questions. Apathy will not help. Passion will.
I never said be apathetic or don't ask questions.
I agree with you, Ask the questions...
but think about the manner in which you ask those questions and choose your words thoughtfully that will elicit the response you would hope for.
-
Then just ask that question, exactly like that.
No need to point out to Tini that her Rogue characterisation is disappointing, or her stories are boring, her pacing is bad etc....all of which I'm certain she's already heard/read on twitter at some point and is more likely prone to ignore, because yes, she's heard it all before.
My point wasn't that some of you "feel special", quite the opposite actually...being disappointed in the writing or dropping a book is pretty common as sales to shops would indicate (as much as the writers would wish otherwise, as much as the Heads will tell you otherwise)
I never said I was going to point out the flaws in the questions. In the email, yes, but that's the point of sending the email.
-
I'll give it a go but I feel like whoever picks the questions just ignores or glosses over anything that doesn't give high-praise unfortunately. I can't remember the last time they submitted a question that was even slightly negative.
Right? Makes me not care enough to make them too. They should get both... Otherwise they just think that they are shitting gold.

I got an iPencil for,Christmas, I’m learning to use it, I’ve been and artist for 40 years but never done any digital art before.
Does this have enough sass for our Rogue?

I’ll draw her again in a year and we’ll see how much better I’ve got!

I do love her Auburn hair. We hardly ever see that colour on her in the comics. And I like that you drew her stripe all the way through and not just at the front as bangs (so boring!)

Yes, I love this issue. Rogue being deep in her feels about touch post-Antarctica and wrestling with the notion of taking the Cure.

Don't see much fan art of this outfit, and with good reason.
This jumpsuit is probably tied with the orange tunic and Acuna's monstrosity as one of Rogue's worst uniforms.
But always nice to see more Rogue art, even in her most hideous outfits.
