I bet there is more people reading this book than x-men
Imy hero academia has been out 5 years. In that time it got a anime after 18 months, a spin off at 2.5 years in publication (vigilantly did 5.5 million)and just past 22 million in sales last year.(that year had 4 new volumes for the main series only but a far cry one one piece just missing 13 billion). All due aggressive marketing and the lowest ease of entry possible. There are TV ads for ever volume of a manga volume with voice acting to promote new manga releases. Marvel should do that with comics.

What is Hickman’s opinion on cannon fodder?

My Hero Academia is better than any teen superhero book ever was.

He likes B and C-Listers so I doubt he’ll start slaughtering them. Did his Avengers/NA runs even kill anyone (besides the end of Time Runs Out obviously which killed practically everyone)?

a writer that values characters enough to create very real stakes and tension without resorting to killing a character and ruining any potential they had. ugh so sexy.

It is very good read, It is very good mix old school superhero comics with most practical X-men school set up, as comic fan it is worth going out your comfort zone to read it. At worse you can just watch the anime.
My Hero Academia is an instruction manual on how to do superhero school that covers up most of goofy angles of the superhero genre that doesn't make any sense. And it is recipe for X-men to follow if they ever decide to mutants can live with humans without going into extinction. Just an example Villains attack the students ONE time in training area and school went from a normal school to Boarding school with extensive security. Imagine that the X-men get a school bus worth of students blown up and there no extra protections on the mansion. The X-men out here fighting against threats but they can't stop their home from being blown up.

Facts. It's actually a better superhero book than 90% of what the big 2 is producing. I'm sure my hero outsells xmen, justice league, and avengers.

I've always been curious to try it out... Would you recommend starting with the manga or with the anime?
