Yeah, unless altered significantly to fit a later decade, the original concept is mired in the '40s and '50s like amber.
The Earth 2 JSA in Stargirl started in 1941.
The JSA are erased from Earth Prime post crisis.

Yes, as I said a few pages back, that was my one real criticism, trying to take characters that were clearly products of the era of the '40s and trying to originate them by saying the '90s were a different era, which they were buuuut...
I can somewhat rationalize it if they said they formed right after 9/11/2001 when everyone was suddenly flying American flags.

It was confirmed last season that it started in the '90s.

Has that been hard confirmed? Like Pat saying "It was the 90s."?
Because they really seem to be playing fast and loose with it. IIRC, the fight Yolanda watches of Ted Grant is in black and white, as was a photo of Pat's.

There's a newspaper phots of the Star Spangled Kid and Stripesy that has a '90s era car in it.

And like I said, black and white photos and boxing videos.
Seems like they're playing fast and loose with it

Well, we know the Injustice Society members are not that old, as well as Sylvester and Stripesy. Why would the JSA be in their hundreds when they were killed off not that long ago?

No reason both sides couldn't travel through time :P

IMO, they're a lot less hung up on temporal consistency than most on this thread :)

:)
I wouldn't have a problem with that, actually, but there's no evidence of it.

No it wasn't.
They specifically said Carles Mcnider had been active since the 40s. It was when Beth was going over his bio with Chuck (AI) when talking about Charles Mcnider it is confirmed by the goggles that he was active in the JSA from 1941

At 1 minute 58 "Chuck" shows Beth Charle's bio showingnhe was born in 1914 and was active in the JSA from 1941 to 2010 (when he died)
