Not the dumbest thing Aaron's done, but close.
I like how Echo, who will be a part of Hawkeye's Disney Plus series, will in no way be recognizable as that character. And i'm at a loss as to how they compliments her character in any ways shape or form.
What is the phoenix these days, anyways?

I'm afraid not until as they finally get rid of her excess of muscles and give her "Gamma Amazon" look back.

Watch Echo finally get her own series in-time for her Disney+ appearance and she still has the Phoenix :p.

Is that confirmed or still a rumor?

No! Just say, "No, no more Echo Phoenix!" :p

At least we can all agree that Shanna design was the only good thing coming out of this story.

I liked Aaron's Thor run, but nothing on his Avengers run resonates with me.
The only story arc I did enjoy was the Starbrand one; I find myself not enjoying Celestials, Vampires, Ghost Riders, Moon Knights, and now the Phoenix. I would probably rank this Phoenix arc as second to last (last place being the prehistoric avengers stuff).
In terms of his long running story plans, the Coulson thing and the prehistoric Avengers don't seem worth it either (especially if this Phoenix mother-son thing is one of the payoffs, definitely could have done without it).

I liked the Saturday morning cartoon vibe up to Ghost Riders but it's been silly after that. Ewing and Slott did a better job with Empyre.

She was truly the most random choice

Which is probably why it's her.

When she becomes the host, we’ll call her Sheoenix

I can think of a several more random choices. But then again, I can also think of a handful of people who would have been perfect avatars for the PF.

Personally my head canon is that when the new writer takes over he begins with Sharon Carter waking up in bed at Avengers mansion in NY. She hears the shower running and goes in to see Steve showering; she enters the shower, embraces Steve and tells him, "I just had the craziest dream..." She tells him and they both laugh. Steve says, "Yeah sweetie, that was a crazy dream." Not original I know but more than what Aaron deserves for the steaming pile of tripe of the past few years. Just like in Merlin, we're not going to fight, we're just going to forget Aaron.
