Another Captain Marvel relaunch??? How many does she have in the last 5-10 years?
I fail to see how Captain Marvel getting relaunches is viewed as her failing when Marvel does this to darn near every book they have. There have been five Avengers relaunches since 2010. Are the Avengers a failure? This is just how Marvel works now.
Has Marvel ever heard that too much choice can be a bad thing? It feels like they are doing a hundred new things in January. It is too much.
I get that, but I can also see the other side of the coin. Variety means more options. People get books they may not get normally. Even if they don't last or are "stealth minis" (as Marvel rarely likes to list things as anything but ongoing), it's still letting fans of that kind of stuff get something they rarely get.
It does get kind of overwhelming going over the solicits because of that, though.

Looks to be another exciting month!
Pulling:
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Guardians of The Galaxy- Cates? Heck yes!
Amazing Spider-Man
Fantastic Four
Immortal Hulk
Venom
Maybe:
Man Without Fear
Definitely will be making mine a marvel again!

I'm actually really overwhelmed. Even with two of my books ending soon, I don't have the budget for all this cool stuff. Like Black Widow out of danged nowhere. I'll probably just settle for the Punisher and Conan epic collections of back issues I already have, haha.

I think it's the relaunches coupled with the diminishing sales with each subsequent relaunch.

Aside from the Strange milestone, Wasp, Miles, Runaways and the new Cap marvel relaunch, it's so meh.

Also, Nate Grey on that Age of X-Man Alpha #1 cover looks like Chris Hemsworth.
And yet the solicits are so vague, i can’t tell if i want to pick some of these titles up.
They're going to keep trying until she takes. So expect another relaunch every year because she just isn't happening.
The movie might change that.🤔

May give miles book a look depending on the art
Still enjoying asgardians of the galaxy
FF sounds cool to see galactus again, hope he doesn't get squashed
Didn't spot marvel 2 in 1?
Natasha is the clone now. Her original body is dead and buried.

Because she is the only FEMALE getting a constant restart for the most part.
She is not starting over with a new ID like X-23 or a new team like Kate Bishop.
And sales including trades are not showing improvements.
If we go by the idea that the movie & tv shows warrants her getting these shots. BOTH companies own a LOT of guys shots.

When you competition not named DC is tossing out stuff-you don't sit by the sidelines and let them get away with it.
Especially when you are at war with a certain faction of fandom-who wants you out of business. So you show them who is boss. All that crying and harassment for 2 years hasn't hurt the company.
Even the books that failed-still had some success as TRADES. Folks are enjoying the variety. So why not keep going?

To start off the new year...
Doctor Strange #400 (This series deserves a double zero. How many books has Strange been in and not one of them has been a hundredth anniversary.)
Fantastic Four #651 (Galactus and Doom. Hoping Slott can put a new spin on this.)
Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #40 (always awesome)
On the fence:
Captain Marvel #1 (It's Kelly Sue and since I'm down to three Marvel books, )this might be worth a shot.
-
Both Hulk issues and Venom #10 for sure.
