Batman has three dead robins (including his own son). So i would go with him.

Jason, Damian...who's the third?
Murdered side kicks Batman 1 Green Arrow 0
Drug addicted side kicks Batman 0 Green Arrow 1
Irresponsibly putting young teenagers lives in danger.....well both....I will go with both.

Stephanie Brown

3 murdered robins and Batman has put 5 pre pubescent kids in danger while Oliver only put two. Actually, Mia Dearden was already a teenager in a prostituion ring right? So I guess Oliver at least saved her in many ways. Batman wins the award for worst mentor by shear number and average age of the sidekicks.
Is it getting to point where Batman will need to be written differently soon to be acceptable to modern sensibilities and modern style of comics?

I always forget she was Robin.
Also, didn't they reveal that her death was faked?

By written differently do you mean they need to write out the history of him having 5 or 6 Robins?
Batman might be overbearing and sometimes abusive but at least he has never abandoned his children.

Yeah, that's definitely a factor.
I mean, there are examples where they dropped the ball, sure, but I think generally their sidekicks turn out pretty well.
For every Jason or Stephanie there's a Dick and Tim, and for every Roy or Connor there's a Mia and Emiko.
You want to know who I think is the worst mentor? Blue Devil.

3 murdered Robins! Forgot about Stephanie....I'm a casual Batman fan, who was the third?

Jason, Stephanie, and Damian have all died as Robin.
Further, Dick died for a moment in Forever Evil, while Tim had his death faked in Detective Comics, while everyone believed him to be dead for a while.
So his sidekicks don't have a great track record of avoiding death.
