So, uh, this happened in Hickman's New Mutants. Instead of a fight scene between the New Mutants and the Imperial Guard, readers got a one-page dice game:

Honestly that was hilarious.
It's also refreshing that the guy will just admit there are sometimes things he doesn't even have slight interest in writing out rather than waste time phoning in doing so.

Some of those matchups don't make sense, and frankly, this is the best way to handle them. Sometimes, just get to the point.
