Omac, both Buddy and Kevin. Khalid Nassour Dr Fate, New Super-Man and the JL of China. I find that as I've gotten older, I tend to gravitate towards smaller books and characters that barely make it to two years. I don't know how or when it happened, but it did.
Ah, the Inferior Five. The name was used for a horror comic by Giffen and Lemire but the team proper hasn't returned and certainly hasn't starred in an ongoing. Do they count?
I'd think that would count. If you have a group of new characters that are introduced as part of a team, versus a bunch of previously-established individuals who come together and start a team (a la JLA), then even if the team name is recycled for other purposes, the lack of those characters in the starring roles would still make the conditions applicable. At least that's my take on it...I'm not the one who started this thread.

I think we can safely say Hawkboy and Hawkwoman.

Who's Hawkboy? :confused:
-
Yeah, there's been Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Hawkwoman. Never a Hawkboy to my knowledge.
-
Hawkboy is Hawkmans son.
Not overly fun, but it is what it is.
Kaijudo already said where he's from exactly.

Well, I guess if they don't exist then yeah, we won't be seeing them headline a title... :p
-
Don't exist? What are you talking about?
You mean like because he's a fictional character? Not sure that really applies here, friend.
-
He's from Miller's Dark Knight Strikes Again. He never headlined a title in the first place, which kinda disqualifies him here.
-
We were talking about the Hawks, so since discussions naturally flow, I brought that up. Basically saying a Hawkfamily book or a team up book.
I'm sure you could find other examples in this thread of people that didn't headline a book.
Hawkboy is Hawkmans son.
Not overly fun, but it is what it is.
Hawkman's (and Hawkgirl's) son was Hector Hall, who went by several identities but not "Hawkboy".
Hector had been
* Silver Scarab
* The Sandman (not the Wes Dodds / Sandy Hawkins version)
* Doctor Fate
I'm assuming he's still dead (or at least the body he was last using is).
Well, Morrison used him in 1990 . . .

But DC also changed his name back in the 1980s:

I believe they changed his name in the early ‘70s when they reprinted some of his stories as back ups in World’s Finest when it was briefly a Superman team up book.

Kratos doesn't seem like he'll be showing up anywhere.

Are you by chance talking about Golden Eagle?
