No way to really tell. He's Steppenwolf+ but that's about all we know. He didn't get all that many feats.

Ya all we really see is him fight the gods and green lantern and one shoting aquaman? and killing wonder woman off screen? Mind fraging Superman?
[spoil]i was kinda annoyed that ares nearly killed him with 1 swing of his axe[/spoil]

Well that was after a fight with a green lantern and 3 gods so not too bad.

Wasn't that young Darkseid ( Uxas) before he had the Omega Beams?

From what I understand of Snyder's social media posts, it is the case indeed. However, he is explicitly called Darkseid on that wall (and I don't need to have studied ancient Greek to have deciphered that), and not Uxas, but I guess that would have been too confusing. Also, one interesting point, rewatching that part:
[spoil]He survived lightning from Zeus, lightning that was capable of easily preventing the Unity, a feat that took, in present day, Cyborg's mind entering the boxes with help from Flash to have enough energy, and then Superman and Cyborg physically separating the boxes, and it took the both of them visible effort to do so[/spoil]

Apparantly so yea, i guess that makes it somewhat tolerable... cause I was kinda pissed off lol, we finally see him in live action and he gets oneshotted and essentially faints...

^I just want to point out too that Smallville Clark is still one of the most powerful depictions of Superman outside of the comics, too

If we ever do get to see Darkseid again, I'd be really interested in Snyder's take (that is, if he chooses this route) on the Darkseid that wasn't just extremely powerful physically, but was also almost Lovecraftian in other feats, like the Great Darkness Saga or Final Crisis. One where he's not just a brick, but a walking, talking existential crisis for the multiverse.
Outside of the nearly killing him Ares part, I don't really have a problem with Zeus being able to do serious damage to Darkseid, young or old.
Speaking of which, what is Darkseid's current origin?
During the new 52, he killed the old gods and absorbed their powers and blew up a planet with a battle with the Highfather.

You’re tempting fate trying to understand DC continuity.
I mean this is the guy who was the central character in Death of the New Gods, where he and all of New Genesis and Apokolips died. For literally two months until he was back to die again in Final Crisis.
Darkseid’s origin is whatever you want it to be at this stage.
If you want to say Darkseid is the evolved form of a crust of scum clinging to the inside of a stagnant mop bucket, then that’s what he is.
