Well, color me surprised!
Thanks to everyone for really great entries this week, and thank you to everybody who supported my entry of the Golden Age Justice Society of America! (I remember reading that story when I was younger in one of those 100-page issues of Justice League of America, an issue which also featured John Stewart's first appearance as a Green Lantern with the JLA, and also finished reprinting the various stories from the 1960s that introduced Zatanna and the search for her father!)

A new contest will be posted soon.
(But remember, I'm a virgin here, so please be patient if I make a boo-boo or two with it!)

Congratulations MajorHoy!
And thanks for your votes, ChadH and SquirrelMan
And in honor of the winner's theme of juvenile deliquency, here's the trailer for the classic JD film of that era Blackboard Jungle (1955). Bill Haley's and the Comets rendition of Rock Around the Clock became a "anthem for rebellious youth". The song was the first from the rock and roll genre to top Billboard's chart.

Glenn Ford plays the teacher whose students include Sidney Poitier, Vic Morrow, and in Jamie "Klinger" Farr, who is billed as Jameel Farah. They all looked way too old to be high school students! Poitier was 28, Vic Morrow was 26 and Jamie Farr was 20 at the time.

Congratulations, MajorHoy!
Thank you very much to Tami for the vote. Also, thanks to Javasaurus and MajorHoy for the honorable mentions! :)

Congrats MajorHoy.
Now, here is a cover I would have posted if I could have, only it's just coming out at the end of this month

One I was surprised no one posted. I wanted to, but hadn't thought of it before I posted mine and I dislike changing my choice after I've made it. But had I remembered this, this is what I would have posted.

Some others I thought might show.
The first Appearance of the Robin stand in in "The Protector" pretty much DC's 80's Social Cometary poster boy.
Thought for sure T'Challa vs The Klan would show.
Also thought of X-Men's God Loves Man Kills, while the story is absolutely great representation, but the actual cover really didn't convey Social Commentary, it was actually the Back Cover image which did that, not the cover.

Two obviously loaded, the first Cap punching Hitler.
And on the other end Cap (and the flag) with his hands symbolically bloodied, issue where he supposedly feels he can no longer represent what America has become, and resigning his role as Captain America.
And of course the crying Lincoln. No subtlety there.
