EDITH is a pretty potent tool here. Generally I would say Sandman is hard to beat but with a LOT of rockets they should scatter and damage him. Maybe glass some of the sand with explosives and flamethrowers.
1 year of prep is extra useful for team MCU. BP, Vulture and Mysterio clean up.
I initially thought this came down to Sandman vs Electro.

He certainly has feats of telekinetically gathering together materials in specific shapes (and I don’t believe Sandman has any feats of resisting that), of sending those shapes some distance at speed, and of flying himself. So even if he had to fly up to the upper atmosphere to stay within a certain range of his scrunched-up Sandman, then yes, I think he could do something.

He would suffocate or freeze before he reached BFR height.

He can pick him up sure but a space toss I don't see that happing.

Yeah, once I’d actually bothered to give it more than a fleeting moment’s thought, I came to the same conclusion.
Still, at least he provides some sort of defence against Sandman, which is more than most can achieve.
