Me too. I think they should be similar in size to the 2000AD magazines, and those are bigger than the standard american floppies and trades.
Latest: My one and only exposure to Kindt was "Revolver" which I thought was trash. I could barely get through it. It was one of those books where at the end I thought, "Wow. So f'ing what?" So I was extremely hesitant to check out Mind Mgmt. But all the reviews and everyone who read it said it was awesome, and I was... very surprised. I finished the first book in almost one sitting. Only reason I stopped was because it was 2 am. I have to say, it is a thoroughly engrossing book. So I picked up the other two and can't wait to get into them. Also, the quality of the hardcover - binding, paper stock, etc. is probably the best I've come across in the standard size format in a very long time. Makes it a joy to read. I wish all books were like this quality.
I haven't had a chance to read them, but I agree whole heartily on the quality of the books. They are probably my favorite books in my small collection.

I even enjoy how the pages smell. Does that make me weird? :p

I think that's one of the most common thing with people who love books. That or all my friends are weirdos. Either way I don't have a problem :D

Amazon has the 3rd one listed for 8.6x10.8. Im assuming they'll all be the same size, but who knows if thats right.

Nothing like unwrapping a new book in general and getting a whiff of that manufactured goodness.
Did you happen to notice that the books even have colored headbands that match the color theme of the books themselves? I believe one was green and another blue. Unsure of the third.
Anyone got that 28 Days Later omnibus? It is sadly paperbound, but it is sewn. I don't know why they didn't go the extra effort of making it a hardcover. The story and art are just fantastic.

Thats my plan as well, but I might break down once I finish the Century hardcover and have no more new League to read.

Is it going to go OOP again? If so that would be pretty impressive. Glad I already secured mine, when I finally got around to buying the complete Metabarons a few days ago I saw it was OOP so who knows how long I'll hAve to wait on that.

I have to admit that Revolver, as much as I did enjoy it, is on the lower end of the spectrum of Kindt's work, in my opinion. I thought it was great, but 3 Story, Two Sisters, and Red Handed were all much better. I assume Super Spy is up there too but I have yet to read it. Revolver bares reading more than once, I think, Kindt had some interesting commentary on the banality of day to day life among the things in there. On top of that, Revolver actually ties in to Mind MGMT more than just a little bit. It is far from necessary to know anything about Revolver to read Mind MGMT, but characters from Revolver make somewhat significant appearances in a few ways and it opens the speculation up into intriguing areas as far as just what is going on and exactly how deep things go.
Not actually latest haul, but all new books from the last month
Funny how we got that same 'obscure' book in the same week aaltomuoto.... And I love the looks of that Bumperhead!! Cannot wait for that. If it's anywhere near as good as Julio's Day and Marble Season it will probably end up in my Top 10 of 2014.

Loved the single issues I got of Only Skin. I'd love to hear what you think of the HC. Also, what are the Copra books?
Holy moly, yes. Roses of Berlin is basically the Kevin O'neill show. Lots of splash pages, gorgeous detail. Just fantastic. It's like Moore stepped aside for that one and just told Kevin to have fun.

Loved the first Mind Mgmt book, so glad to hear that it continues to be great. I highly recommend Super Spy as well. It has a slower paced, almost melancholy feel (reminds me a bit of Le Carre), but so far my favorite of what I've read of Kindt.

I haven't read it yet, but based on the preview pages I did read I thought it could be pretty interesting. It's not a hc btw, but a sc. As are most of those books, except for Kill My Mother. Those Copra issues even have staples :blasphemy:
Copra Round 1 is the first collection of the series and bundles issue #1-6. It's a superhero comic:
"They're ugly. They're mean. But up until today, they've always been loyal. So when one of their own betrays them, the men and women of COPRA have no choice but to turn their nightmarish skills back on every son of a b!tch who ever looked at them funny."
You can order it at your comic shop, since it's in this months Preview catalogue, or directly with the publisher: http://bergenstreetcomicspress.bigcartel.com/product/copra-round-one
You can read the first issue for free over here: http://michelfiffe.com/comics/copra/index.html
Excellent hauls, Martin, aaltamuoto and Roland (coincidentally I ordered "Ring of Nibelungs" myself last night. LOL)
Here's my haul from the last month. I've been cutting down on purchases recently, so there's a lot of books I bought used. Also bought "Elric" of course, but that one's already on loan.
