That's pretty much how 90% of fictional verses work.
Males are generally always huge, buff and older to look more warrior like rather than young Justin Bieber or Anduin from Warcraft universe lol.
Females generally always look young, beautiful and slightly muscular.
It's a common trope in fictional stories.
I get that, but they could always challenge it. I mean, does every artist have to think that way?

Sadly, if they want to sell their works to as many people as possible thus becoming popular they do.

I see. I realize it's not always easy to sell one's art. Of course, things could always change, but probably not soon

Also, remember it is a visual medium. The audience is far more likely in most cases to buy artwork of attractive people in glamorous poses (both sexes). The same applies to action covers that are "busy" with a lot of colors. Human eyes (and brains) are naturally drawn to both things.

That's true. I think it's hard for me to understand because that's not at all why I read comics, or consume any other media. Although I do like colors, I don't understand "sexy"

Unless you are asexual or a kid (jeez, I hope not given what we've discussed) that could be a problem. ;)
That's true, Bruce does have more emotional trauma. I guess it just didn't seem to make sense to me how every female hero has to be "beautiful" but male ones get to be "ugly"
Please stop body shaming giant green rage monsters. :p
I see. I think her personality can still be intact even if she looks more monstrous.
I mean, her personality is (normally) of a vivacious, sassy, Jade Amazon who enjoys how she looks and how strong she is, so I don't think that's as served well when she's depicted as looking the same as The Hulk.

I just think it's a nebulous concept with no absolute. But don't worry, I'm not a kid!

Oh no, I'm quite the opposite!
I mean, her personality is (normally) of a vivacious, sassy, Jade Amazon who enjoys how she looks and how strong she is, so I don't think that's as served well when she's depicted as looking the same as The Hulk.
I guess to me the same personality can come out of any form.
I guess to me the same personality can come out of any form.
But the point is her old look informed a lot about her personality and how she responded to being She-Hulk.

It can, but it isn’t. That’s half the problem.

I guess so.
sometimes in fandom or hero-worship people can get possessive. Almost feels like a sports team rivalry at times.
When BP and Storm married there was some tension between certain writers and fanbases with Storm being incorporated more in non-Xmen stories like Avengers or Fantastic Four. This kind of came to a head in AvX. Ironically, people don't seem to have a problem with Wolverine popping up anywhere.
After AvX, Marvel made the Uncanny Avengers book trying to mend things. I think it was well-received but it didn't assuage any of the tension for the fans that still felt some type of way about things. This isn't anything new with Marvel, a few characters have gained intense ire from fans through the years.
If you read comics at the time you might remember that a lot of readers hated Cyclops from 2008 to 2016, based on how he was written from X-Force to AvX and beyond. I don't remember exactly what happens near the end. A younger, version of Cyclops comes to the present from the past. Then the older version dies or fakes his death. Anyway, fans seem to have gotten over it. Just like they got over Ironman's terrible actions in Civil War or Namor's actions in AvX. People haven't forgiven Pym slapping Janet tho. I think that one is never going away. But, I digress.
Two of my least favorite Marvel stories were AvX and One More Day, regardless I moved on. But that's not everyone, take a dive into some corners of 4chan or Reddit and you'll see. People don't forget lol
Interesting perspective.
Uncanny Hobo piss Avengers was not well received. And sewed more division
Cyclops was at the height of his popularity with readers after AvX. Cyclops was losing fans prior to AvX due to over exposure. AvX turned the most anti Cyclops X-Fan pro Cyclops
And Tyke was hated
So it's interesting thats how you perceived it?
Read that and this, and that still doesn't answer it. Avengers aren't pro phoenix on this story, it was the Phoenix that made them fight.
there isn't hipocrisy
That's fair...
Can we stop calling Jen "Hulk?"
We will when they make her look less like him and more like she used to be.
