Whether or not she uses it, they all have Krakoan names. What do you think suits her? Something you can easily shout in battle.
Lifeline

Lifesaver
XRey
Stasis

What's Jean Grey's Krakoan name?
Blue Shield.
Funny thing, it's a name/character Marvel already owns.
Stasis is good for a person with forcefield powers. Lifeline is a good runner up
What's Jean Grey's Krakoan name?
Marvel Girl
Fuerza - Strength / Force in Spanish
Stasis is good for a person with forcefield powers. Lifeline is a good runner up
Marvel Girl
Jean had that name decades before Krakoa became a mutant refuge.

You do realize that I answered your question. Right? When the name came into use does not matter to context of your question.
Nevermind... I was thinking of how it would be spelled/pronounced in the Krakoan language...

I like Stasis a lot.
Quarantine
Lol so good but yet so wrong.
Ms. Reyes if ya Nasty
Mistress Bandaid, Boo Boo, girl in the bubble
Her codename is Cece
You do realize that I answered your question. Right? When the name came into use does not matter to context of your question.
LMAO She thought she would catch someone out with that question!
Strange one can't spell "Apocalypse" the way it's spelled in the frame I posted above while looking at the Krakoan alphabet...

This is great! I just asked this question yesterday. I was asking for a Medical based X-book I had created in 2006, then commissioned in 2014. I have adapted the team and concept through the different story arcs, to include the latest Hickman run.
on the Age of X-Men Facebook page
people came up with:
Balm
Barrera
Brace
Doc (unofficial)
Force field
Safeguard
Shell
Suture
Truss
Mark Johnson: Doc. it would be an unofficial codename (like Kate Bishop in Young Avengers, when they jokingly call her "Hawkingbird" in the beginning). The Newbie in the book or the X-person who never met her would think it's an official codename. She'd clarify, "No, not a codename. I'm a doctor, They call me "Doc" it just stuck.
I do like lifeline though, maybe give that name to Wing or Angel Salvadore?

I like most of these.
She does need a mutant name.. and it does seem to be requirement these days. Reyes is like Jean, Emma, and Kitty where they are better known by their real names. Still, Emma does use White Queen, and Kate should use Shadowcat (I've always loved that codename), and Jean is back to Marvel Girl it just wouldn't be right for Reyes not to have one.
Cover
Medic
Sawbones
Screen
Ward
Sheathe/ Sheath
10 char.
I like Stasis or Lifeline.
I hate how Jean is still Marvel Girl. She should be Marvel Woman or Phoenix.
Lockdown seems appropieate.
Dr. X
Operate
Doctor Defense
Bio-field
Mercy
Hospice
I’ve always liked Aura. But Alice Braga is my new fav hero name.
Aegis.
But that was the name of a New Warriors character during Faerber’s run.
Not to big a fan of Stasis, Hospice, or other kind of passive names. And also the ones that are too "medical".
But I do think XRey is really cheeky lol. Lifeline is a good one!
Aegis.

He's dead now, although Kid Kaiju created a monster that goes by that name
Like Safeguard and love Mercy!
I thought of Barrera too, because of her barrier/forcefield powers. But shouting that in battle would be a task. Some people can’t roll their rs.
Fuerza is GREAT. But... I think Flash uses that for the “strength force” user?
Statis. Came to mind because she can hold people steady in place. And easy to shout like Lifeline.
Thank you to everyone who replied, hoping a writer gets inspired by this. If the rule on Krakoa is non- human codename... she should get one too. I also wanted Amelia Voght to be her nurse - Traverse.
Ward is nice. One syllable. Dual meaning in reference to both her medical skills(ward as a section of a hospital) and her protective field(ward as in defensive spellcraft).

Agreed, it’s a good name for her.
I think since she is from Puerto Rico, a Spanish code-name would fit way better.
How about Proteger (which means protector , or shield), Blindada (Shieled) or Salvar (save)?
If it would be up to me, I would go for Proteger
Quarantine
This is honestly perfect.
References both her force field powers and her medical background, plus a cheeky nod to our current predicament.

Not meaning any offense to other suggestions, but this one is probably my favorite. Really great thought.

I went with Spanish too (Fuerza)! I think Proteger would be too close to protegee, but I think you're on to something.
Ward is absolutely perfect.
Triage
Forget the other character using that name in the Xbooks.
Aegis.

So what? Melody Guthrie's codename is Aero. The name was recently reused for a New Agent of Atlas only for Melody to get her powers back and resume using the name! Hardly the first time a codename has been shared by unrelated characters either. When Rich Rider wasn't in use for most of the 80s, his codename, Nova, was given to Frankie Raye, Silver Surfer's replacement as Galactus's herald. And there's been three Marvel Boys, all unrelated - Uranian of the Agents of Atlas, Justice of the New Warriors, and Noh-Varr, of the Young Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.
By the way, Cecilia Reyes does have a codename. Forcefield.

I was intrigued so looked up the citation. It was just used as a joke/insult.

Sure. Just not sure I want CeCe related to such an embarrassing character, even if only tangentially.

You're welcome! I couldn't exactly recall so had to look it up. In any case, Forcefield is a terrible codename and available for a reason lol.
