Very Hyped for this year. But the 2 teams I follow may have some issues. My Saints going into their first year in forever with out Drew Brees While The Bengals have problems of their own. Number one they are the Bengals. Number 2 they have a QB who looks scared to even be on the field even in practice and their number one draft pick Chase has a bad case of I cant hold onto the ball.
Aside from all of that this I think will be an interesting and frustrating year because of covid and all of that mess. But I am looking forward to the season :)
-
My Phins are in an interesting division, Tua still has to prove himself and there are two rookie QBs with great expectations. Meanwhile Buffalo looks to stay a powerhouse with a true elite QB.
The other big question this season is still how COVID will effect the games, especially since their are players who defiantly, and stupidly remain unvaccinated.

I am looking forward to seeing what Buffalo does this season. There are a few teams I am looking at this season because I want to see how they preform. Like the Pats for instance.

Arizona prediction: I don't know what their record is gonna look like, but the scoreboard for both teams in their games is going to be going "TILT". They have the offensive weapons to put up points, and while they have a pass rush, they are going into the year looking like they're starting a guy best suited as a slot corner as their #1 CB, their #2 CB hasn't played in two years due to injuries, and #3 and #4 are rookies.
Thinking Larry Fitzgerald might be waiting to come back for one more game late in the year if they're eliminated from playoff contention to play once more in front of home fans, if at all.

Are we taking bets on the first team to have to forfeit because of the colossal stupidity of players who wouldn't know the definition of the word freedom if it bit them on the ass?

I’d put a few coins down on the Colts since Carson Wentz is unvaccinated and could end up being a one man superspreader.
Meanwhile, I have no idea what to expect from my Eagles. They’ve handed the keys to sophomore Jalen Hurts, he of just four starts last season and ten SNAPS this preseason. The front office made no secret they’re not married to Hurts, given their alleged flirtation with Deshaun Watson, followed by trading for “The Mustache” (a.k.a., Gardner Minshew). The coaching staff is young and greener than the grass at Lincoln Financial Field, beyond TE’s Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, RB Miles Sanders, we’re thin at skill positions, the offensive line is aging and the defense doesn’t exactly scare anyone. At best, I have the Birds going no better than 7-10, and they might be lucky to manage that much.
-
Kansas City will have a harder time this season with loss of Sammy Watkins, a redone offensive line (2 rookies may end up starting on it) and as usual a suspect defense that makes you wonder if they can step up ?
The Raiders and Bronocs improved more and with this season the Raiders should by all rights have a shot at beating KC. A fact even their GM has said this season should be a playoffs year.

We know it won't be the Falcons as they are the first team & staff to be 100% vaccinated.
And Vegas is only carrying a prop bet on Wentz injuries not player's COVID status.
Might not be a good look to take bets on that.
My gut says it will be a team in Florida or Texas first ... Texans or Jags.

It popped into my newsreel since I was following news of Brady last season. It was announced that the Bucs are not only at 100% for players and staff, but the presser words it in such a way as to imply there is no wordplay to claim 100% when it really isn't, which I would expect to happen at least once this season.
-
Apparently Tom Brady tested positive for Covid back in February.
-
Got an alert that Cowboys’ G Zach Martin, arguably their best offensive lineman was put on the team’s virus list, meaning he’ll be out for Thursday’s season opener against Tampa. After watching how the Bucs’ defense teed off on Kansas City’s depleted O-line in the Super Bowl, Dak Prescott could be in for a long night.
-
My friend and I did our picks for week 1. He and I did this last year. pick the winners of every game for each week. We get a point for calling it correct and at the end of the season who ever has the most points win. I won last year (The first year we did it)
I would love to do something like that here. But I guess it would be too late to set something like that up since the season starts Thrusday.

ESPN has a Pigskin Pick 'Em thing, you could set one up I think before Thursday and I believe it works by giving people a password to join and set up their own username and such. I'm down if someone does that, but too lazy to do the work (sorry). I'm sure other sites do it as well, if someone is against ESPN for whatever reason.

I dont know how many people want to do this but I created a group. CBR Group Make picks, Standard picks. Eqch pick is worth 10 points. The password is Cbrgroup
Make the picks it auto saves them. And if you want to make it easy there is an option to rename your entry so you can rename the entry your user name here so we know who you are :)
Below is a link. If anyone wants to join there it is. If not ill let the idea fall away.
You do need an ESPN account.

Its basically waiting on legal process to play out. The League is waiting to see what happens as well 1st before acting. The biggest joke was them saying Houston had set trade demands. But I doubt if Texans called teams the result was laughter and then hanging up.

It’s already been mentioned that the league could bring the banhammer down on Watson whenever they want WITHOUT waiting for said process to play out. No team would be so stupid as to trade for Watson with that sword dangling over his head.

So, who's the first team getting a game called off due to COVID?
Easy money on the Colts, right? Cuz Carson Wentz & Darius Leonard ain't winning prizes for common sense.

We still have a handful of WYTS left for 2021, and it's time to head up to the frozen tundra of Lambeau field, where all is not well... it's time for... Why Your Team Sucks... The Green Bay Packers! They settled for a FG in the NFC Championship Game, losing it for the fourth year in a row. That sent Aaron Rodgers into full sulk mode, and had him making veiled threats to retire if the team didn't fire the GM. Oh, and he spent the off-season trying to get hired on to be the new host of Jeopardy!, so there's that.

Oh, and now Davante Adams is cheesed off, as well. To the Packers fans:

Drew Magary:"The Packers have given up 184 points in their last six postseason games, and yet Aaron Rodgers never says, “We need more cornerbacks.” No no no … Jake Kumerow. THAT’S the final puzzle piece this team was missing. When Rodgers doesn’t get his precious Kumerow, he sits around all offseason and does his best impression of an alcoholic stepfather. Nothing is ever Aaron Rodgers’s fault. It’s all his GM’s fault for firing McCarthy, and for vastly improving the front seven, and for keeping the offensive line intact, and for making Rodgers the highest-paid player in the league after only seven months on the job. WHAT AN INCOMPETENT PRICK. Now the GM in question, Brian Gutekunst, looks like he used his fist for a face transplant. But he represents a vast, vast improvement over his predecessor Ted Thompson, who conducted team business via Pony Express and died earlier this year due to complications from looking too much like David Lynch. Gutekunst brought this podunk franchise into the 21st century and gave the Packers a legitimate front office. Yet none of it matters because he dared to put a succession plan in place at quarterback.
I have rooted against Aaron Rodgers for many years now, so I’ve seen him pull this s*** every time something goes wrong. He pouts and kicks his dog and says IT’S OVER BETWEEN US and then, when it’s time to show his cards, he reports to camp right on time, looking like he just came back from axe throwing lessons at a Gowanus brewery.
The narrative for the past decade is how the Packers have pissed away Aaron Rodgers’s prime. But now you know it’s Rodgers who lives to waste time, tending to his grudges like bonsai trees and living in an alternate reality where he has six titles instead of a paltry one because a better world accommodated every last one of his whims. In this, he’d make a perfect Green Bay fan. To placate Rodgers, the Packers reworked his deal so that he can throw the exact same empty tantrum again a year from now, traded for a done Randall Cobb, and barely humored all of his other petty requests."

Ali:"The field goal."

Noah:"We went for the field goal."

Landon:"JFC I just remembered how they kicked a fucking field goal while down EIGHT POINTS in the 4th quarter."

Esteban:"Last year we needed a receiver. Instead of that we drafted the heir apparent for our HOF QB whose talent is only rivaled by his capacity for spite. "

Dr. Brown:"I knew Russell Wilson would overcome a f***ing 16 point lead, I knew Eli Manning would s*** on a great season twice with his stupid fucking face, I knew San Francisco would f*** them up, I knew Larry Fitzgerald would run 1000 yards in OT after two miracles by Rodgers. You saw them coming too, didn’t you, fellow Packers fan? Yes you did.
I can see now clearly see that Matt Stafford will f*** us up in the NFC championship game this time. "

To the Bills Mafia:

Drew Magary:"Last year, a lot of Bills fans wrote in and said, 'We’re gonna win the Super Bowl right in the middle of a pandemic because life is s***,' which is a pretty galling humblebrag when you think about it. But those fans turned out to be broadly correct in the absolute funniest way possible. In 2020, the Bills established themselves as a conference powerhouse and then field-goaled themselves right out of a chance at the Super Bowl. And, save for a few VIP mothballs they let in for their two home playoff games, no one saw it. The greatest season the Bills have had this century, and it may as well have happened in f***ing outer space. And they didn’t even get a ring out of it. How marvelous. Your QB is Josh Allen, the country bumpkin who magically went from a busted Juggs machine to an MVP candidate the second Stefon Diggs came into town. The Bills then rewarded Allen with $150 million in guaranteed money. Meanwhile, Diggs is currently the 19th-highest paid wideout in football. I’m sure this’ll cause no internal strife of any sort.
You might think that Allen’s deal ensures stability at quarterback and that the Bills will win 12-plus games a year every year going forward. But lemme tell you something: No other quarterback in football screams Local Hayseed Wins Powerball And It Ruins His Life more than Josh Allen. Come Halloween, he’ll hand out little baggies of meth that he brewed out of his gold-plated bathtub. He’s Ryan Leaf with better coaching, and I still don’t think he’s vaccinated. Speaking of Ryan Leaf, your backup is Mitch Trubisky."

Kyle:"The amount of delusion that Bills fans had leading up to the AFC title game against the Chiefs would make even the biggest QAnon believer say, 'Calm down with your bullshit.'"

Zack:" We wasted the window where Josh Allen had to contend with zero crowd noise, and now Cole Beasley will spread the Zeta variant throughout the entire locker room. It was fun while it lasted. Sean McDermott is so health-obsessed he thinks Greek yogurt is an indulgence and even his moron players won’t get vaccinated."

Taylor:" Just a quick update on how Terry and Kim Pegula’s non******* ventures are going.
-The Sabres are starting another rebuild after finishing last overall in the NHL for the fourth time in eight years, and are a year away from breaking the all-time record for most consecutive playoff misses. Meanwhile, they’re allegedly losing $40-60 million per year on the team.
-They fired the Sabres entire minor league staff seemingly without cause. When Sabres GM Jason Botterill refused to be the one to do the firing, they fired him and replaced him with a GM that had been working with youth hockey players and had no prior management experience. For his first season, he didn’t even have an assistant GM or most of a scouting staff.
-Kim Pegula serves as the President of the Bills, Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Nighthawks and Rochester Americans (AHL) despite her having no professional experience of any kind.
-They fired almost everyone employed by the Bills and Sabres during the pandemic and have not yet gotten around to filling all of those spots. This came after a pre-pandemic series of video conferences with employees, which stressed being more financially efficient. One of the goals listed during the presentation was “maintaining the family lifestyle.” Soon after, they had to pause construction on their superyacht. But, there’s a happy ending: the yacht has since been completed.
-The gaudy, gigantic restaurant they opened outside of Keybank Center in Buffalo in 2014, which is basically a worse, more expensive Applebees, has been closed since March 2020 and will be reopening under new ownership.
-The other less gaudy, but still gigantic bar/brewery/restaurant they co-own with Labatt fired all of its workers in March 2020 and has yet to reopen.
-They’ve doubled down on the US fracking market despite other, larger firms cashing out.
-They cut one-third of jobs from their marketing firm just two years after forming it.
-In what should have been a stress-free, easy interview with the Athletic about his childhood love of baseball, Terry said that Roger Maris was treated more unfairly than any baseball player in history. This would, of course, include Jackie Robinson and every other player from the days of segregation.
So you could say I’m nervous about them potentially having even a little bit of control over the Bills.

Mark:" August 2021: The Bills open training camp with a roster that rivals any in franchise history. Fans can’t believe that they get to unironically wear the same QB’s jersey for a fourth year running, let alone contemplate football in February. Sky’s the limit!
August 2022: Cole Beasley is the governor of breakaway Upstate New York. The seceded state’s flag is a silhouette of a mullet. Bills change logo to a vaccine card with “HIPPA” misspelled in crayon. Terry and Kim Pegula move the team to Florida, where they have been bunkered since refusing to issue refunds to fans for home games forfeited after Bills’ locker room unvax’d COVID outbreak. At the same time they’re paying four fired Sabres head coaches. We deserve every bit of it. "

Mark:" “Hey, I decided I’m not gonna get vaccinated, it’s my choice and I don’t care what anyone has to say about it”
“Ok, sure thing dude”
“Seriously, I’m not gonna get it, everyone needs to just back off and respect my decision! I’m done talking about it”
“K, heard you loud and clear the first time”
“Whatever happened to God’s will! I’m gonna exercise and stay hydrated!!”
“Sorry……….what??”
“I’d rather die living! I might have to retire if I don’t stop getting harassed”
“Didn’t you say you were done talking about it?”"

Mike:"I’ve been a Bills fan for 20 years and this was unequivocally the greatest season in my life. It's not like the would have lost a lot of talent by doing so with that bunch. You could have reset the whole QB room and probably ended up with an improvement. Bridgewater's already an upgrade over all 4 of the former guys.
