The New Community Q&A
As you're all aware, there have been a few significant changes to the CBR forums.
So here's the place to ask any questions. Although I'll address a few points that I'm sure people will ask about.
You'll have to reregister in order to post. So your post number will go back to zero at first.
The off-topic threads weren't the most active on the Spider-Man board, but it's been decided that for now we'll go without chat threads as a general CBR community policy.
At least one poster in the new board seems to have been banned previously. The policy is that everyone gets a fresh start, including those who were previously banned. But the days of multiple warnings and multiple temp bans are also gone.
Publisher Jonah Weiland posted his explanation for the changes.

Take the new rules seriously.

The old forums are available for two weeks for anyone who wants to archive anything.

The links are probably going to be broken, but you can get around that by changing community.comicbookresources.com to oldforums.comicbookresources.com
So, http://community.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=341252&highlight=Spider-Writer is a broken link.
http://oldforums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=341252&highlight=Spider-Writer is a working link.

In the rules, it says we can't post a thread with "spoilers" or "discussion" in the thread title. What are we suppose to be using?

The subject matter is fine.
So "Amazing Spider-Man #1" for the comic. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Movie" for the film (but don't start that one until Midnight Eastern Time tomorrow night.)

Tough timing, I was desperate to talk ASM v3 #1 all day!

Hahahaha, its like when a new game comes out and xbox live throws out a system update. Least you can discuss it now. ;)
-
There's no more ultimate board. Where do we talk about ultimate spider-man now?
-
I'd like it if we would stop tit-for-tatting with SW and Dan Slott. That was getting absurd!

Tell me about it; I ran home to brag that I got the ASM #1 Campbell cover I wanted, but the thread is gone!

Oh, boy. I'm not going to last long, am I?

I guess you could talk about it here. Ultimate Fantastic Four would be in the regular Marvel forum. Any Ultimate X-Men comics would be discussed in the X-forum.

I like this change. I see the logic in an Ultimate board, but I never liked being unable to post USM stuff here.

To be clear, is this the new off-topic thread?
To be clear, is this the new off-topic thread?
No. There shouldn't be any off-topic threads. The feeling is that CBR had got too splintered and cliquey. So if you want to talk about other stuff the recommendation is to go to the appropriate sub-forums, especially the community forum.
