Excuse my ignorance, but are Krakoan citizens governed by and operating under capitalist principles? How do they make a living and pay for goods and services, including food and shelter, on the island?
I’m curious to know…
I can’t tell if your being serious, but if so . Everything on the island is free and the QC mostly Xavier and Emma pay for all outside items.

So, everything on the island is free and shared, and there is no exchange of or use for currency within the island, right?

Aside from the discussion (just want to add that these concepts, socialism , left, right are relative to the part of the world you come from) besides that, anyone else found it a bit out of character Jean thinking anything ...about politics? I don't know, surely Jean fans know better, just my 2 cents.

I think that's a fair Question. I would assume so......

Yes, I also think it’s a fair question and assumed the same…

I can’t remember what the issue was if it was New Mutants or Marauders, but Dani did say everything on the island was free when Emma and her where having a friendly moment. I would assume all work is voluntary.

Not a Jean expert by any means, but as someone mentioned the first thing Jean did when she came from the dead in X-Men: Red was get involved with “politics”. She was collaborating with world leaders and serving as a speaker at the UN.

Krakoa grows its own buildings, so I doubt housing costs anything. Some mutants can probably create vast amounts of food or supplies, so they can help with those areas. (Since work would be a lot easier than anything they could find off Krakoa, I can see mutants accepting the occasional duty.) Everything else is probably covered by the wealthy elite, or come from the hard work of the X-Men.
That said, Krakoa's population is also expanding at an alarming rate. Unless they find more planets, there will probably be competition for limited resources, such as space.

Stasis talked a big game but was taken down in a fistfight. Yikes

Krakoa doesn't have money for internal use. For external use, they just give you bags of money because Xavier and Emma are ridiculously rich.

Yes, so for all intents and purposes, the citizens are entirely supported and provided for by the government.
Again, forgive my ignorance, but what type of government should we consider this?

It basically an eco-socialist commune. People's needs are met quite literally from the trees. People can work or party or do whatever they want to do because all is provided by Krakoa.
Genosha or at least the post-civil war version in contrast was closer to an old school socialist state where the government decided your employment.
of course it was Sinister, and here I thought we would get some original villains
The intriguing thing for me is the club on his forehead.
Have we ever seen a Sinister with anything other than a diamond?
-
Does Club Sinister not know there's another Sinister? His reaction to Cyclops unmasking him suggests he doesn't. That was confusing.

I'm assuming we'll also get a Spade and Heart Sinister to finish off the "original" Diamond Sinister and now this new Club Sinister.
This may link to Sinister's cloning B.S.
I feel like they have been stringing this along for so long.
