Is that between the "Franklin gets kidnapped and used for an evil plan" and the "Creature from the Negative Zone" plots?
Nah, I think it's right after the "F4 meets the Inhumans and romantic tensions rise between Johnny and Crystal" story, but before the "Skrulls infiltrate the team" plot.

Instead of eventually getting mutant powers or whatever. Thoughts on Valeria possibly learning magic?
It'd be something different for a member of the FF family to have so that everyone stays unique.
It plays on her relationship with Doom as he's a sorcerer too.
She'd be succeeding in something her father fails at, which could be interesting too.
I'd bring Agatha Harkness back and have Val learn from her.

It might be interesting but I would be afraid they would turn her into an Illyana-type character.
She even has blonde hair!!!
Let her continue to be super intelligent with questionable moral attitudes...just like her daddy.

Actually its between the FF break up and Reed finds a cure for the Thing.

I don't worry it would be too much like Magik as she is a very different character. Her thing is all about her ties to Limbo and demons. Plus Val wouldn't have giant anime sword lol.
Val would still be a genius, but unlike her father you could have her want to explore a very different type of knowledge. It would play on her similarities to Doom. I much prefer it to the alternative which is usually just giving her a lazy mix of her parents powers.

When I say bring her back I mean back to interacting with the FF. She's the only link the team has to magic and was a unique member of their supporting cast.

There's one other magic-user who allied with the FF: Mechamage, created during Claremont's Heroes Return run, but hasn't met them again after their initial encounter to my knowledge.

Thanks for the info.
Claremont's run is still a gap in my FF knowledge. I'm still putting off reading it, might have to change that.

Val's personality was a certain way before SW. Of course, she was 3-5 years old so we can imagine that genius/kid mix to be kind of weird. At her current pre-teen age, many (most?) kids develop their own personalities. We've seen a lot less of her attitude in Slott's run. In fact, she's been more of a conscience for Franklin. I don't want to say "dark side", but she needs something. I'd like to see her and Agatha dealing with each other. I suspect Agatha wouldn't put up with her $#!+ and may also manage to inspire the youngest Richards.

Agatha Harkness is a magic based character who's currently a ghost (at last view). With multiversal reconstruction and reality shifting kids, bringing her back should be a simple matter.

Unless something happened to her after the conclusion of Robinson's Scarlet Witch series, she is now among the living again.

A young blonde Agatha Harkness would be a cool Avengers witch.

I totally misconstrued the end of that series. Mea Culpa.

And she could wrinkle her nose when she casted a spell.

Thanks for confirming that I correctly remembered she'd been resurrected.

Agatha is alive now, also seems to be younger.
Val learning magic is a good idea.
