Hermoine Granger VS Earth...OUR Earth

Due to an accident at CERN, Hermoine Granger is zapped through a wormhole and lands on our Earth, in GB. Oddly enough, she retains full use of her magical abilities, with no changes.

The problem?

She stumbles into a Manga store one morning and reads too much Baki(which she finishes up to the Sumo arc before dinner...) As if this is not traumatising enough, she trips, falls, and slams her head into a cover with Yujiro on it. Causing her brain to become corrupted, and her to become obsessed with [I]STRENGTH[/I]! Hell.[I] Her Patronus even turns into Retsu Kaioh[/I]!

After getting the sh!t kicked out of her by a servicewoman at Alconbury AFB, she decides that pulling a Yujiro and demanding to be flown to the US is not a very good idea. So instead, she decides to go back to her bread and butter: MAGIC!

So she gets a job, rents an apartment, gets herself a phone and in internet connection, and begins accumulating books. Unfortunately, she decides to google herself after getting the hang of the internet, [I]which causes her to utterly lose her sh!t.[/I] Not from the fact that she's a fictional character in this world, but, from the *other* stuff she finds that's personally disparaging.

She decides that to clear her good name, the internet must die. And for the internet to die? [I]So do [B]WE[/B]![/I]

12 months from now, Hermoine Granger will declare war on [I]OUR [/I]world!

[I]*This is current adult Heromine, with all her knowledge, experience, and skills. Not to mention the fact that she's given birth [I]twice[/I], which puts her pain threshold way up there. [/I] Not the little Hermoine who's going to be easy to fool.

**She has a crap ton of her personal gear since she was moving office when she got pulled through, and she probably has the Time Turner in her possession somewhere.

She has unstoppable mind control, perfect camouflage, teleportation, infinite good luck (does anyone doubt that she can't Mary Sue her way to Felix?), she's brilliant. The public at large doesn't believe in magic, so nobody will even suspect that she's doing anything. As long as she's careful, she's unstoppable, because nobody will know she's coming. Hell, nobody will know she's there.

She's also generally a good person and a rational person: she's not going to do anything that would really piss people off and mandate some kind of attack on her. She will control those she has to control, but she's not going to make them murder anyone. She'll offer generally correct ideas that will appeal to the masses. And if someone resists her ideas, she'll just imperious or confundus them. Easy sauce.

Plus, given her ability with camouflage charms, her home base will be completely hidden - nobody will be able to come for her while she's sleeping or anything.

As long as she doesn't try to go nuclear and win by overwhelming force (which isn't her style anyway) nobody will even realize that she's taking over until she's the power behind all of the thrones.

Hermione is described as one of the greatest witches of her generation, she's a humanitarian and, full bloodlust mode, as a seriously large bag of tricks and the ability to potentially construct new abilities given enough time and research.

If we don't know she's coming, that's precious little we can do to stop her. Given the current political instability in the real world UK, she'd have a pretty easy time to generate chaos.

12 months prep? She's a real big problem.

Also, if she becomes obsessed with strength, why does her Patronus turn into the weak and terrible king of the mid card, Retsu Kaioh?

Completely unbelievable, this whole scenario is obviously fake.

Because when it was Yujiro, every time she used the spell at home she would have to look at [I]THIS[/I]. :p

She can certainly do a lot of damage, but against the entire populace of the world? She's fucked if she goes with the pure brute strength route. I don't even see her getting further than taking over a city before she gets put down.
She'd get swarmed as she can only concentrate on so many things at a time.

JK Rowling herself has indicated that in a one-on-one fight between a skilled witch/wizard and some random hobo with a shotgun, the hobo would win 9/10 times.
Imagine just 1000 people with handguns surrounding her... sooner or later a stray bullet will hit her, or at least graze her, breaking her concentration/focus and the flinching would interrupt her wand waving/casting.
And this isn't even getting into non-conventional weapons, including biological or chemical.

If she chooses to go the manipulation route or goes into politics, she could get much much further by becoming an elected official and gathering soft power, perhaps even influence things on a country-wide scale economically and policy-wise. But she's not by any means taking over the world.

All she has to do is slowly worm into the bureaucracy and mind control a few people to either: 1) launch nuclear weapons to cause WIII, or 2) mind control a few people to release infectious disease stockpiles, eventually causing WWIII (smallpox released simultaneously from CDC and Russian stockpiles will be nasty work). Retreat to a hidden location and watch people kill each other, mind control the leader who eventually rises from the ruins of WIII. Brute forcing anything is a stupid move, and if we've established anything, Hermione isn't stupid.

I've got Runic and HP wizards are pretty crap at maintaining concentration in face of FF levels of Damage. :D

IIRC she has an "unbreakable" charm, but the charm itself has [I]no combat feats[/I]. And we don't know anything about it, besides that it was used on an inanimate object. We don't know if it can be used on a person without turning them into a statue.
