Robertson is alright but they should've made a more ambitious signing for it, perhaps Wendel from Leverkusen.
I am as baffled as you are. the midfield is already stacked and Oxlade is'nt better at Henderson,Lallana,Wijnaldum or Can at their respective roles.
Best case scenario, shift him to left back and he blossoms

I don't really follow the Bundesliga so I can't comment on Wendel, as far as being ambitious is concerned I don't mind us ''playing it safe'' so to speak with Robertson, also I think we needed more British players for the quota of homegrown players in Europe. I heard that was one of the reasons we looked at him. He's done alright in the little he's played so far so I'm not going to complain just yet.
Problem with shifting Oxlade to Left-Back is that one of the reasons he joined is because he had a better chance of playing CM here, which is where he wants to play, than at Arsenal and that's one of the reasons he joined, that and apparently he was a fan growing up (they all say that though LOL).

Squeeky bum time tonight. Come on Wales!
-
-
I feel sorry for Wales. They had no fight and no urgency. Terrible performance which does not reflect their true abilities. I know this may get me heat but, I'd much rather them than Ireland in the WC.
-
We were all over Ireland until they kicked the crap out of Joe Allen and he had to go off. Our creativity went out the window then. Ireland's game plan worked perfectly. Put 11 men behind the ball, hack our team to pieces to stop us passing and nick a goal. We had 72% possession, 16 shots and 10 corners in that game, but just couldn't score. Our problem is not having a decent striker to put the chances away. If Bale had played, I'm almost certain we would've won that game. I have no idea what's happened to Ashley Williams since he left Swansea. He's barely half the player he used to be.

Funny to think we could end up with a World Cup that has no Bale, Messi or Ronaldo in it.

Ah, France and Argentina finally have won their tickets to Russia.
-
Ill get behind Iceland, Egypy, maybe France because boy howdy is that Olivier Giroud a handsome SOB

Proper football is back on this weekend, typical international break injury though as Mane will be out for up to six weeks now. Ah well, it'll be hilarious if Liverpool actually kept a clean sheet for once, against Man Utd LOL.
Devastated.
Gutted for Wales since my Mum was born there as well. Still congrats to Republic of Ireland I guess.

Yeah I was shocked to hear that USA were out. My wife was disappointed to hear the news when I told her.

The fact Arena is still coach should tell everyone that the USSF doesn't care for change & want to stand pat.
Even though we've missed two Olympics & a World Cup in the past 5 years.
