But the Purple Man storyline is over. How do they expect to start and finish a new plot in only two weeks?
There's an epilogue currently ongoing where Peter is staging a fight with Luke with the intention of selling the photos to Jameson.
Presumably the final week will see Peter and MJ resume their trip to Australia, which they had planned before they were dragged into Killgrave's scheme, perhaps the hiatus will end after that with them returning to New York, having had a well deserved break from daily adventuring.

Erm...MJ, I think you need to make up your darn mind...yesterday, you were worried Peter and Luke's play-fighting will turn into a real brawl, and today you actually want them to fight for real to make for more convincing photographs!

So Peter and Luke spend all that time staging a brawl for photographs, and one cop decides he wants to take a selfie with them...surely that means it'll go viral and Jonah will see the two of them are friendly with one another right? Also MJ is a part of the selfie, so Peter will have to explain what she was doing there with them also.

Looks like we're done with Luke, as we now focus completely on Peter and MJ. Peter remarks Luke is one hell of a guy, MJ says the same about Peter, but wants to be dropped off so she can hail a cab. Peter remembers this version of MJ tends to get air sick when web swinging.

The final Sunday strip:

The last panel there was clearly a replacement for one that would've set up the next arc.

A few observations here:

Art for this transition strip is a mixture of recycled and unused art - apparently there's a couple of weeks worth of unused material.
Different header than normal, and it mentions spiders being an insect... how did that get past editorial? The header is obviously one of many used in the past and should've been fixed after it's first appearance.
Someone in the comments mentions their local paper ONLY buying the Sunday strip - the guy in charge of buying comics for that paper, quite frankly, is an idiot. They should be buying something with a one and one gag like Hagar the Horrible, not something serialised over seven days. The ASM Sundays don't make sense on their own.
"Next: If I didn't have bad luck"... is that a hint as to exactly what they're rerunning?
-
We're now a few weeks in and they're rerunning a Mysterio story from 2014, I suspect they started with this one because it's a good way of promoting Far From Home.

Looks like former strip ghost writer Roy Thomas is getting more work at Marvel, writing a Captain America and The Invaders one-shot for July

Pretty much what both had said in previous interviews....I hope Roy is right regarding his "world of superheroes" theory. Peter and MJ joy is one thing, but maybe Marvel want to explore other heroes now.
