Point being, the marriage was a major change in Peter's status quo. He was single for many years and then he wasn't.
That it lasted for a good length of time before going away doesn't mean it's going to come back around again. Reinstating a marriage is a bit different than bringing back an old costume or a former occupation or an old base of operations or some other element that wouldn't entail so much baggage.
Doesn't mean that it won't either. If "marriage" is so much "baggage it's surprising how much success DC Comics is having with it.

Makes me kind of wishing to buy the omnibus they are putting out.

Completely different characters and different situations.
If you're talking about Superman, that's a very different situation than Spider-Man.
And if you're talking about Batman, he hasn't gotten married yet. This being Batman, some kind of tragic resolution would not be surprising.
Also, Spider-Man has been very successful without the marriage. And the Spider book that does have a married Peter Parker - Renew Your Vows - is out now for anyone who's interested.
But this is a discussion for the Spider boards - one that's been had many times over there - not a Captain America thread.
