Sad there's no Monet & Paige. I'll check in now & again. But hoping for something in Wave 2.

Kitty picks him.
Not emma.
Yeah, I was interested in the new mutants relaunch, although I’m wondering how they’re bringing sunspot back. However, I have no interest in cosmic marvel, and don’t care about the star jammers. Not sure about the X-men title either. I’ll have to think about this.🤔
They’re probably getting grown in a garden or something.
Or...Cyclops hand-picks a team for every mission.
Plus these are initial lineups, characters can be added or taken out by issue #2 of any of the series. I think them showing the group shot, which kept changing, 6 times during the panel was to drive home the point that there are so many characters that can't possibly fit unless there are 20 books. Not to mention new characters that will be created along the way.
So who are missing from first wave of books?
Someone make a count.
It seems the children have no idea what the big shipping/trading companies of the past were doing. Hellfire Trading Company is an allusion to the British East India Company, originally chartered as the "Governor and Company of Merchants of London trading into the East Indies" in 1600. If you can't see colonialism and the slave trade in connection to that, read more history, because I am sure Hickman is aware.
I hope Vita keeps Polaris for wave 2

Xavier
Magneto
Cuckoos
Monet
Husk
Sinister
Metallia Rasputin
Red Nightcrawler
Thats not fear. Emma is not a racist. Also she will end having a good relationship again with Ororo as it seems.
Emma is only funding this. Kitty is the captain. I love Kitty Pryde but what does she know about captaining a ship? Above all, where is Nightcrawler? Shouldn't this be his ideal team? Shouldn't he be the freakin' captain? I believe he actually does know about ships. I'm not happy about excluding Kurt from all these books. Something stinks.

I am certain he’s aware. Which means he’s also likely done it quite purposefully. Let’s see what his angle is. Might be to act as mutant liberators, so in essence the antithesis of what East India was doing.
I'm betting on Xavier having some sort of heroic death for the sake of mutants that leads to them being in a positive light again and before that, he asks Cyclops to lead the X-Men again.
As for the rest;
X-men sounds pretty much like the x-summers. Did they adopt wolverine?
2) marauders sounds like some sort of alternate reality thing. Pass.
3)Excalibur- i’ve Already forgotten what the blurb was about, so i’m going to go with ‘no.’
4) fallen angels/ xforce; not interested in kid cable, and am really tired of colossus. Is that black Tom Cassidy I see? I’d rather have zombie banshee.
How will the X-23/Cable ship be called?
any suggestiosn?
