It almost feels to me that there should be divisions based on era or style for this. Kind of feels like comparing apples and oranges to debate between modern artists like Adi Granov, Gabriele Dell'Otto, what have you, versus Silver Age artists.
Who are favorites from each era?

Beta Ray Bill from Walt Simonson.

Kitty Pryde: John Cassaday. Resolute rather than beautiful.

Warlock: Bill Sienkiewicz. Does anyone else's version hit the balance of comedy and horror?

Cyclops: Paul Smith. He's supposed to be "slim" remember?

That is one of the biggest missed oportunitys of the X-Men is that they could not keep Paul Smith on the book longer. I wish he would have had a 5 year run on Uncanny he was just that good.

You are not alone! I was among the many who enjoyed his work. Unfortunately, what he really wanted to do was draw Dr. Strange, but even more than that, he wanted to ride motorcycles, so he didn't work as much as he could have. He later commented that he blew it jumping ship from X-Men after only ten issues.

Ugh. Imagine how great him on Doctor Strange full time could be.

For me, John Romita, Sr. Is the best at drawing Kingpin as a mass of muscle.

Spider-Man 2099 from Rick Leonardi:

I definitely agree that Romita can draw young women in a very cute matter, though I do think their faces tend to look too similar to each other:
It feels like cheating to say Kirby, but I can't think of a better choice.

Obviously Kirby.
Absolutely. I was thinking Thor? Ribic or Coipel, hmm. Then I thought nah Kirby. It’s not even close. Thor without Kirby would probably have been Captain Marvel in an ill fitting Viking costume.
Rick Leonardi's Spider-Man 2099.
Agreed.
Andrew Wildman was a good try, just...not a good fit.

Speaking of Andrew Wildman, he was the shot in the arm for the Marvel Transformers series...

I thought Mark D. Bright was a great fit for G.I. Joe...
