Mummy could just telekinetic neck snap, if he honestly wanted. In Mummy Returns he TK lifted the bratty kind and hovered him around with a basic gesture and no real effort at all. Weak old man neck should not be as difficult or little effort.

In addition to having superior reflexes, Palpatine has far more powerful telekinetic feats than Imhotep, so if anyone's neck is being snapped, it's the mummies. This isn't getting into his force lightning, which has shown to destroy be a threat to giant star ships, as such he could just outright disintegrate Imhotep.

The issue is the Mummy cannot conventionally die unless you de magic him.
I'm not so sure how well Palpatine could stand up against one of Imhotep's massive sandstorms.

Mummy can morph himself into said Sand and drown him in it.
IIRC, Palpatine's Force Lightning wasn't actually damaging the starships, it was messing with their electronics while their shields were explicitly down.
Palpatine has the stronger TK no doubt, but unless that TK can hold an entire sandstorm, Imhotep just turns into his sand form and desiccates Palpatine into a dry husk like he did to the one tomb raider American.

He could only do that to people who had his urns.
However, Palpy can't do anything to Imhotep if he just turns in a giant sandstorm.

Yeah he could only eat those who messed with his treasures. He could however kill anyone he damned well pleased with powers who got in his way.
And yeah the For e Lightning was like emp, not a kame hame ha.
The Emperor vaporizes him
His telekinesis is vastly superior (lifting the star destroyers, and having his force lightning destroy the ISDS)

I am pretty sure he wasn't the one who lifted up those ships.
Yeah, neck snapping someone who is immortal until you take away his magic is kind of useless. And I don't think lightning would be all that effective. Especially when Ihmotep goes all natural disaster on him.
Mummy blows him out the window so he falls down. Falling down seems to do Palpy in.
