A non-flashy but still enduring cover that tells it like it was/is.
And I loved the mention of CSNY and that powerful song by Mr. Young.

As always, if anyone wishes to double check my tally, feel free!
Congratulations MajorHoy, and thanks to Nschornhorst for the vote! As a good friend to me says about Pride, the radical roots of it should be remembered.
My comments about Daredevil and Oracle was that we didn't get a cover bringing up issues of disability. Here is one cover that provides that:

Yes, disabled people can be physically active in various ways and have a romantic life.
Congrats, MajorHoy!
Congrats MajorHoy!
And thanks for the vote. Glad to know that I'm not the only one with a taste for oddball Archie covers.
Way to go, Major!
Thanks to ed292 and Ajax_X for voting for my cover, too.
Congrats Major! If only Frederick Wertham had read that book. ;)
Congratulations MajorHoy, and thanks for all the votes for me, didn't expect to be co-runner-up with a strong field this week.
Nice one Major!
and thanx for all who voted for the Iron Man cover!
Congratulations to Major Hoy for a cover that was Definitely Commentary. Historically, the book had an importance for its existence as a tool requested by authorities to fight Juvenile Delinquency. It was an early example of superhero comic books being used as a medium to get a point across.
What has the captain learned this week? He has discovered that when a topic is selected, he THINKS he's well acquainted with the subject and will have a familiarity with pretty much all of the entries. But like many weeks, he was surprised by the amount of issues and variety of books that made powerful and important statements. Comics are like most art forms, looking pretty but also saying something.
An an additional thank you to the Major for his HM.
Congratulations MajorHoy!
Thanks CaptCleghorn for the mention. And thanks to kjn for the vote. You have a signed copy? I'm officially jealous.

Thanks! It just so happened I heard "Ohio" on the local classic rock station here in Philly on my commute home last Wednesday after the new contest went up and I remembered that Spidey cover which I used.
Congrats to MajorHoy! I just PM'd him about his victory!
