I haven't watched any of the Netflix series past JJ/DD season 2, but didn't they explain she got them from the car accident with that truck hauling a bunch of chemicals she was in that killed her family?
Maybe. I don’t remember.
When you stop and think about it wouldn’t make any sense. Because it’s established everyone has known about the X-gene for years in Deadpool and the X-Men are active. The Deadpool 2 teasers implies Purifiers will be in the movie, with hints at a Messiah Saga adaptation, which could mean possible Logan connections.
He didn’t really say that.
The Deadpool films are still self contained for the most part and an intelligent person, which I believe Feige probably is, could find a way to make it work without having to throw out a successful franchise in the name of film universe cohesion.
They’d be crazy not to try and find a way to do that, considering Deadpool is one of the many successful properties that FOX has which justified the $52B price tag.
It wasn’t because of Disney if that’s what you’re thinking.
The Russo’s have stated they wanted Wolverine in the MCU.
So Disney was fine with keeping it on Nick and/or continuing with the show on Disney? Because that's not what we got.
Sure but that doesn't mean they'll treat him like Fox did. Besides, the Russo brothers turned a solo trilogy series into Street Level Avengers (Cap 2) and Avengers 2.5 (Cap 3) so...

Just do small retcons to make it work, one small line about the x-gene being known shouldn't stop Ryan Reynold's deadpool being in the MCU.

It was taken off Nick due to financial issues. Nothing to do with Disney.

The problem is was critical to Wade becoming Deadpool.
I’m going to laugh if the rumors that the first MCU X-film will be a Wolverine solo after all the complaints about Fox over-using him in every movie are true. The irony will be delicious.
The MCU started with a solo Iron Man movie, that didn't cause other characters being downplayed in the team movies in favor of that character. And other Avengers even got their own solo movies. So it's very unlikely that Marvel Studio will repeat the same mistake, because unlike Fox it's not their style to recycle or rehash storylines. At least I expect them to treat the X-men with more respect than Fox that couldn't even be bothered to show how the X-men died in Logan.

Why wouldn't it have to do with Disney when they bought their company in the middle of it making a second season?
LUCAS: How did you feel when it was announced that Wolverine and the X-Men had been cancelled?
GREG: The second season had so many delays that it was on the brink of cancellation a number of times, only to have the financing studio (not Marvel) pony up some cash to give it a gasp of life. So when word finally came that it was dead, I wasn’t that surprised. Hugely disappointed, yes.
LUCAS: Anything else you can tell us that led to the show's cancellation?
GREG: That was pretty much it. For reasons unknown to me, the money couldn’t be secured.
Greg says it had numerous delays and that the shows financial studio not marvel? decided to pull out, but even Greg doesn't know why the money couldn't be secured.
We know Disney has money, if show had good ratings which iirc it did but i can't find the link atm, why wouldn't they renew it for a second season? Honestly this sounds like typical Disney during an acquisition.

Well the Avengers are a crossover franchise, so of course.

Nice job dodging the actual point.

Wolverine will be in the MCU, he will probably have his own solo movies like Deadpool, that is a no brainer. Now the fans wishing for the MCU X-Films to make the same mistakes the Fox movies did with their characters, so they can have their "gotcha" moment are pathetic. The MCU has given every character their chance to shine, whatever you think about them their films have always been balanced, now they think this will suddenly change and we will go begging Bryan Singer to return to direct the X-Men movies. Only in their dreams.

Quicksilver disagrees.

I guess he didn't need it. His double at Fox already shined more than the X-Men.

I think Quicksilver's development was halted by XCU's success, having signed a multi-picture deals, they probably had something in store for him but were like... nope, after DoFP.
Speaking of the twins, they are now the first mutants to appear on the MCU, so there is a precedent for genetically gifted individuals hiding among humanity; they were explained as being scientifically altered humans, but it was never explicitly said what they were, not even called Inhumans... that is an easy recon right, it also brings Wanda and Pietro back into the X-fold...

The term you're looking for is mutates. They're not mutants.
