It's interesting how the in-universe punching bag is beloved for being the everyman underdog, which led to him becoming so popular that he become the real-world god king top dog, to the point that people dislike the franchise for reasons related to that top dog status and not the content.
Personally, I think the franchise is a menace to the industry and wider media, but I need more books to prove it! Get me comics of Spider-Man!
