Murray is making a mistake imo. He's too small and he will struggle alot as a QB. The only benefit he has is that Herbert held out so the draft is week on QB's. But he really shouldn't be much more than a 2nd or 3rd round pick at best.
The game of QB is changing though. Murray has a dynamic arm , can run and has that "IT" factor at QB as he won in college. He's around 5'11 (they list him at 6'0). Murray is nearly the same size of QB that Drew Brees is as well as Chase Daniel (who could start for a lot of teams really). Murray already has draft people believing he'll go in that 1st round as the Saints , Giants , Redskins etc need him.

Also I think the Chiefs should have just made Hunt inactive. Keep him on the roster. Goodell can suspend him earlier. Whole thing blows over. Now the Browns took their shot.
If he hadn't lied to the Chiefs he likely would have been suspended. But Hunt admitted he lied to everyone in Kansas City over this. The Browns can keep him and if he does something else then its on them. Kansas City had a zero tolerance policy for this horse shit. They aren't the Redskins who would rather sign a man who abuses women over someone doing a peaceful protest. Williams played awesome and KC can draft a RB to work as well.

Perhaps, but there's no guarantee Murray will make it to the bigs with Oakland. Maybe he thinks he'll make it to the pros faster in the NFL. Guess we'll find out come April, depending on when he gets drafted.

Murray will also make more money as a QB in that 1st round than in Oakland. Its said given the new rules regarding QB's he'll be making major bank n stay healthy as rules protect the QB now.

That much is true as the A's aren't known to spend money like drunken sailors on payday, a la the Red Sox, Yankees or Dodgers. And yeah, given the dearth of quality, or, at the very least, competent quarterbacks in the league that can walk and chew gum at the same time, somebody will eagerly take a flier on Murray.

In NFL News ;
- Tampa Buy cut Vinny Curry (DE) after he signed a 3 year $23+ million contract last year. Curry was banged up with an ankle injury all season and struggled with 2.5 sacks. He had lost his starting job as the season wore on as well. With Tampa Bay moving to a 3-4 defense under new coordinator Todd Bowles they viewed Curry as expendable. This will save the Bucs $14+ million in money as he was due $8 million as a bonus and $6.5 million against the cap this season.
- Buffalo signed the recently cut Spencer Long to a 3 year deal to upgrade the offensive line for Josh Allen. The Bills had a very bad line so this was a need signing for that young QB.
- Cleveland's signing of Kareem Hunt has called into questions on why Dorsey would sign Duke Johnson (RB) to a 3 year contract extension last year and then bring in Hunt. Johnson has been the pass catching RB for a few seasons and now with addition of Hunt its added questions on how long he'll be in Cleveland.
- A day after Kyler Murray announced his intention of a full NFL career , chat turned to the rumors Arizona would possibly draft him and trade Josh Rosen. Those rumors grew when Murray hired the same agent that Kliff Kinsbury (new coach) has. Today the Cardinals team president Michael Bidwell seemed to throw the water on this one. Saying Rosen is the guy and Kingsbury himself backed Rosen as well with a tweet.
- Detroit GM told that the Lions could possibly be in the market for a QB. That at the 8th pick they could see a lot of ways to go draft wise. Stafford will likely be making upwards of $29+ million this season and is under contract for 2020. Many are wondering if the Lions will do a KC move and draft the heir apparent behind the starter for a season. Stafford will turn 32 next season.
- Houston cut Demaryius Thomas (WR) after just 7 games . Thomas was traded for a 4th rd pick as the Texans battled injuries at WR. But he only caught 23 receptions for 275 yards and 2 TD's in that stretch before suffering an Achilles tendon injury sidelining him for good. With the injury , age and lack of production the Texans cut Thomas who was due $14 million this season. Thomas last year in non-guaranteed so they save the entire number.
- Antiono Brown seems ready to move on as he tweeted its time to say good-bye today. The Steelers seem open to trades for the disgruntled WR.
- In Maurice Jones-Drew's latest mock draft he claims 3 QB's could go within the 1st , 10 draft picks. With the recently declared Kyler Murray going to the Jaguars.
-
NE and LV (UGH!) have 26 picks in the draft this year.

Kyler Murray is the same size as Drew Brees... but he has the mobility and size as someone I think he compares to even more... Russell Wilson.

Same height but Murray’s small. He needs to put some muscle on

Just got an alert from Bleacher Report saying Baltimore has agreed to trade Joe Flacco to Denver. I guess the Case Keenum era with the Broncos is over.
-
I don't get this. Keenum and Flacco at this point are basically the same QB.

He's younger and Flacco did well with them.

Denver - the place where QBs go to die like horses being put out to pasture.
-
The Flacco move shows how scared John Elway is to draft a QB due to what happened with Paxton Lynch , Trevor Siemen and that kid he cut last year. It speaks volumes the fear he has at drafting a long term QB and why he made this move. The funniest deal is Flacco if you look beyond his great Super Bowl year ; well he's a career QB with a 84.1 average rating. Keenum is actually 3 years younger and has a 84.5 career rating. So they are comically trading for an older QB , who is coming off a bad hip for this.
They are now wanting both QB's (Flacco and Keenum) to redo their contracts. If Keenum doesn't he gets cut basically as he's guaranteed at least $7 million.

If Elway is having this much trouble with quarterbacks, what will happen when the whole team ages out of competiveness and has to go through a rebuild? Do Broncos fans trust him after these flubs with passers?

Here is another scary fact....John Elway did not build the Super Bowl champion Broncos as GM. In fact the key players drafted from 2010-2013 was the result of Brian Xanders. A young GM hired from 2009-2012. In fact here was his draft picks.
Demaryius Thomas (WR)
Eric Decker (WR)
Von Miller (DE)
Julius Thomas (TE)
Brock Osweiler (QB)
Malik Jackson (DE)
Danny Trevathan (LB)
Those were key players in those Super Bowls. After 2012 ...Elway became GM. One big player drafted in his time while the rest really haven't done much.
Bradley Roby (CB)
Elway since 2013 has missed on QB's , missed on a player who was to pair with Von Miller (Shane Ray) and likely hasn't helped his offensive line either. But yeah Brian Xanders was the GM who put that team originally together.
