When New 52 started I'm confused why Red Lanterns get a book and she doesn't.
I'd love to see Carol in her own title! Running a business, flying jets, dating a hero who's usually not around, being a hero...!

Great art from Darwyn Cooke.

Cooke's up there with Ross for me when it comes to depicting DC characters, with his Hal and Carol in particular being some of my favorites.

What were Carol's powers when she first appeared? Flight and shooting energy blast?
That first cover showed a yellow power beam but did not seem to come from her jewel.
sapphire made the top ten

although i'm glad she left the villain route years ago.

I've never read that story from Superman. That was the last appearance of Jean as Star Sapphire until the 80s, I think. I didn't like when they turned her into a killer post Crisis. I liked the 1970s version who was killed off around the time of Identity Crisis.

The Ed Benes version of Star Sapphire will always be memorable:

GLTAS Carol was strong, funny, and competent. For someone without experience and training in ring slinging, she sure held up her own against Atrocitus.
