How reliable is a source called Super Bro Movies?
How reliable is a source called Super Bro Movies?
I've no idea. But their WW84 rumor is backed up by other more reliable sources.
About Super Bro Movies' source/rumor...

hi, do you think the Pedro pascal character news is true? Thanks
I mean I’ve heard this before and th common theory is Hades, I want Apollo personally, but I really like the Maxwell Lord theory and that he is collecting artifacts to become immortal and uses Diana and Minerva to do so
So the story of the article at the moment is just a rumor?
I mean i know SBM’s source on this and they are usually pretty accurate but getting info on WW84 has been tough so things may have changed

I could totally see Pascal sporting a DCAU look for Hades, if there's any legitimacy to the rumor he's going to be a God.
Pedro pascal could be Hades, but disguised as Maxwell Lord. Since there will be a finite number of movies, there's no reason why these two baddies couldn't be combined. This way, if she kills Max, it's really no worse than killing Ares...
if Hades could even be killed. I mean, technically, he'd just be sent back to the Underworld.
I find it most intriguing that, according to this rumor, when Diana makes the deal to get Steve back, she doesn't read the 'fine print.'
I find it most intriguing that, according to this rumor, when Diana makes the deal to get Steve back, she doesn't read the 'fine print.'
That doesn't seem plausible to me. Diana is no longer the naïve, sheltered girl who grew up in relative ignorance on Themyscira. At this point in time, she's been in man's world for 70 years. Surely she wouldn't make a deal with a known Greek god or really anyone else to resurrect Steve Trevor without considering the likely adverse repercussions.
I could see Barbara making the deal for her friend, Barbara getting into trouble and Diana obviously helping her friend. But, I'm not sure why a consequence of Barbara's deal with Hades would be turning into Cheetah. I could see that as a consequence of Barbara making a deal with someone like Circe to resurrect Steve Trevor. Unless Barbara makes the deal with Hades, realises that there is some kind of negative consequence and then seeks the powers of a goddess to avoid those consequences and therefore inadvertently becomes the Cheetah trying to protect herself from Hades?
Maybe it's a misdirection to confuse us...maybe it's the other half god (the Native American one) that saved and resurrected Steve Trevor into the future.
As said in one of the post above, Hades being the villain could've changed in a later version of the script.
According to the latest rumor, Pedro Pascal plays Maxwell Lord instead.
UPDATE: Pedro Pascal’s ‘WONDER WOMAN 1984’ Character Revealed: https://superbromovies.com/2018/09/26/__trashed-2/
I really hope this is just a rumor
Any idea why the role was changed and/or how Lord can even resurrect people? Hades made more sense imo
He uses and artifact from what I hear, he manipulates Minerva and Diana to help him find these magical items
It’s my understanding Lord uses magic to resurrect Trevor

Kristen Wiig is seen in character as Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah as she fights off male attacker during a scene from Wonder Woman 1984: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-6270055/Kristen-Wiig-fights-male-attacker-scene-Wonder-Woman-1984.html
BIG news... four things actually... some of us are going to be made VERY happy by one of the extra tidbits in here. (hint: it's about flying... in and out of a certain jet.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaVYYhi3lK8
(I still think he's Demos/ Phobos or another god in disguise.)
I guess I'd be okay with a powerless Lord. I just hope he's in name only and ends up being Deimos or Phobos to further establish her core rogues gallery. I also hope his role isn't too big as it could take away from Wiig's Cheetah.
Another option is that they are transplanting Maxwell Lord's name onto Doctor Psycho. I mean, Maxwell Lord is only really connected with Diana in a story that pretty much requires the presence of Superman anyway, and preferably Batman at his most paranoid as well.
I also wouldn't be surprised if they chose to riff off the early Indiana Jones movies here, where Diana and Barbara Ann Minerva work together, and Barbara only becomes the Cheetah by the end of the movie, setting her up as the main villain of the one after.
Having Diana “borrow” an invisible plane from Area 51 is like having Batman steal the Batmobile from LexCorp HQ, in other words, it’s an absolutely rubbish idea. The invisible jet is a marvel of Amazonian technology, that’s all it is. And what’s more, Wonder Woman would have committed a felony smh. As for Maxwell Lord, my guess is that this is Maxwell Lord Sr and THE Maxwell Lord, whom Wonder Woman famously killed, is his son
I hope that Barbara Ann Minerva's character and her transformation into Cheetah isn't going to be overshadowed by all of the Pedro Pascal / Maxwell Lord (or whomever he is playing) and Steve Trevor story requirements.
I'm not a fan of Diana stealing an invisible jet from the US military. But, if it means that we get the invisible jet, I guess I'll accept whatever origin they need to explain its existence since they didn't utilise Amazons with their own, advanced / unique technological knowledge and abilities.
I got turned off immediately by seeing Grace. I find her pretty annoying. Did she say anything about Diana having flight along with the jet?

Yes, the lack of any discussion surrounding Wiig is concerning for me. The Steve stuff getting so much focus is kind of expected, but it's surprising everyone is talking about Pascal/Lord but we've gotten very little speculation/tidbits for Cheetah. If she's being set up as a recurring character for this franchise and won't be confined to this one movie, I guess not having her transform until the end won't be TOO bad...

My only fear with delaying Cheetah's storyline so that she can be the main villain in a future movie is if DC/WB decide to do a complete reboot BEFORE we get a third Wonder Woman film. It sounds like they've dumped the DCEU Batman and Superman. The Flash movie is continually being delayed (after all, Barry is always late). If Aquaman doesn't do well ... maybe they'll just pull the plug completely. Of course they shouldn't, especially when they appear to be onto a winner with Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins, but stranger things have happened.
On the plus side theres so little attention being payed to Cheetah that nobody has tried picking apart her role in this
DC seems to be trying to set up sequels. I hope this doesn't turn up like BvS. Also, Diana getting plane from the military is garbage. God forbid if a woman is intelligent and can make her own Jet. I taught Patty Jenkins being a woman will be different and finally show Diana intelligence but hey this is the same director who showed female civilisation stuck in 300BC

How about, God forbid that they give Wonder Woman the power of flight like she currently has? Maybe the DCEU can shut our mouths by actually giving her a power she has had for the past 30 years instead of depowering her. I am afraid the 'boosh' attack is not a good tradeoff for flight!

That too, but invisible Jet is an iconic part of Wonder Woman. She can still fly but use Invisible Jet to carry passengers, for space travel. Also, Steve Trevor and Amazons can use it.
I just don't understand why DC is afraid to show Wonder Woman and Amazons intelligence and Strength
Wonder Woman '84 pushed back 7 months to June 2020. Gal Gadot tweeted:
"Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!"

I'm upset. But I guess if this improves the product.

It is good, they will have lot of time to improve CGI and even reshoot scenes. Also in November she was going up against James Bond and Frozen 2.
I wonder if it's because the fact that Captain Marvel is set to release 2019 (a few months before WW84, IIRC).
I'm disappointed by the delay, especially as it was going to be released near my birthday.
But, it should ultimately result in a better movie as they'll have more time for CGI, reshoots, etc. I presume that this will also delay official promotional images of Cheetah in her final form as well as further details about who Pedro Pascal is playing, etc.

I doubt it will do much with reshoots; they were already given some time in the original planning, and the first movie only had a single scene done during the reshoot anyway. It might help with CGI, even while working within a fixed budget. But I believe they had scheduled ample time for CGI work already. Where it really might shine is the editing work and the music.

I don't think so, as they weren't anywhere close in release dates. I understand it's becuase Flash is delayed, and simultaneously, WB had the exact date available as the original release.. so instead of fighting off Star Wars (the final movie of the Skywalker Saga, and Carrie Fisher's last movie ever,) Frozen 2, and possibly Wicked, they took the oppottunity to have another summer blockbuster situation.

That girl is overreacting. I think it is great that they have more time to polish the film and the CGI.

ALLEGEDLY she has a lot connections with the right people that allow her to have insider knowledge of the goings on in Hollywood, shes been right about certain scoops before....

That sucks man, I always get excited whenever a good movie happens to gets released on my birthday.

She does have inside sources. Especially with Warner Brothers. Heck, I think she may have a full-on business relationship with them. They invite her to all their important events. Sometimes they even pay her way. When Injustice 2 was about to come out, WB invited her to a special event for it and they paid just about all of her expenses, including air fare.

Yeah, I watch her videos semi-regularly and she does seem to have quite a few connections in the biz. She's not always 100% accurate, but I do believe her on this scoop.
Not sure how to feel about it, though. I wish they had shoehorned Flashpoint into a different movie rather than taking the most popular character's, but it could be interesting to see nonetheless. I wonder how this affects Cheetah and other aspects of the movie.
God, I hope she's mistaken with this. I don't see how hijacking this movie to do a soft reboot is in any way a good idea. Focusing on quality self contained movies is all they need to be doing.

IIRC, she didn't exactly take Cavill's side when that whole fiasco was going on either. So it wouldn't surprise me if she has some kind of actual business relationship with them. Plus, she did say she was "sworn to secrecy". If this is an inside source, that would make some sense. But if this is what she's telling us, what is she keeping secret?
That girl is overreacting. I think it is great that they have more time to polish the film and the CGI.
Except she's not just saying what she thinks, she's saying what she learned from her insider contacts.

She said she's sworn to secrecy on some of the other details, and that she will share what she can when she can. the info she gave us was not what she was to keep secret, it would seem.

It doesn't sound like much more than how they will end the movie, with Diana being unwilling to lose Steve again and doing something about it. Not changing much else in this movie, just after.
