Looks great to me! Diana only breaks out the all-gold armor when crap is about to get REAL!
I bet it comes with a pair of hefty metal wings that enable her to fly

Instead of "your mouth to God's ear" your typing fingers to Patty Jenkins' twitter feed.
You mean the one that had the eagle hamlet? I don't know it's iconic but it's over the top in design. I mean I would like a redesign

Maybe the wings in cgi?
Too heavy for the actress to wear a real one
But wouldn't the eagle armour still be over the top?
I prefer the screaming golden chicken armour to the WW84 armour, at least at this early stage (i.e. based on a single image).
As seen here (http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/13/133677/3129475-1943723-battlearmor_002.jpg and https://www.herocollector.com/en-us/Article/new-launch-wonder-woman-mythologies), I quite like it. If they'd taken that basic design, lost the wings, simplified the helmet and added blue pants and a red undershirt / sleeves, I would have been pretty happy.

Yes, this one.

I just can't wait to have hottoys produce one.
A definitely must collect item for ww.
A much simpler design would be better. Diana has wore another armours before. Why go all out in a strange design?
It seems they didn't reference any design from the DCyou armor
A much simpler design would be better. Diana has wore another armours before. Why go all out in a strange design?
Because I love it! lol Also it's had multiple comic appearances (not a 1 off like Perez) been rendered by various artists to good effect (most notably in the death of Hippolyta) and I'm all about comic book accuracy.
The new armor looks ridiculous, but I kind of love it. I'm weird.
I just can't keep from thinking "Barda?"
Now that you mention it, it is giving me a bit of a Barda vibe. It also looks a tad like the costume she wore during the DCYou era.
I just can't keep from thinking "Barda?"
Too true! If the red were swapped with blue, the resemblance would be even more striking.

It looks more like this... apart for the solid gold bit.

About the armor. I'm not interested in any new suit. I want to see a more powerful Diana on her own. One thing i don't like about DCEU and Rebirth is how dependent on gear she is. Do you think there is the hope we will see better feats of her actual powers in the sequel, or will it be all about the gear again?
After seeing the new Armored Suit just to fight Cheetah! Nope.
Even if she does something cool, it will because of suit.
Wonder Woman is the next Ironman except she can't create her own suit like Ironman or Batman
Not sure I like that new armour. To me it looks like it has the same trouble that plagued Batman in too many recent movies: it's too heavy and hard to move in. Gal Gadot will look and move as stiff as a board in any scene where she live acts.
A large part of the reason why costume designers need to study historical armours is not because they look good or can give inspiration, but because they are proven designs: they protect you and still leave you as mobile as possible. This one leaves important spots unprotected, looks too heavy, too restrictive of movement, and has spots where weapons can "dig in" rather than glance off.

The wings wouldn’t be too heavy since they’d be made of EVA foam but for the purpose of animating them, CGI is the way to go
I thought it was nothing more than a promotional poster, which looks awesome btw, I didn't expect it to be armor she will be wearing in the movie. That's not the kind of thing that's flexible, or even practical from the look of it.

I don't think anyone has said it was to fight Cheetah. All we have is the picture and a lot of speculation :)

Post-Crisis Diana wore this armor/something like it. I don't think anyone declared her the next Iron-Man or Batman when she did then, why should they start now?
And who says this is for Cheetah? We have zero context for anything.

LOL This is cute.
I don't think anyone has said it was to fight Cheetah. All we have is the picture and a lot of speculation :)
True. Also if she eventually does use the armor against Cheetah. That would mean Cheetah is hella powerful. I still hope we can also get some awesome feats from Diana with her powers without the armor. What about you?
Does anybody else think the breast plate resembles an owl? I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this armour, along with the sword of Athena and the BvS shield are either gifts from the goddess, or archeological artifacts once belonging to her
Gal looks radiant in her new golden armor, I approved.
This is a thread for discussion of the Wonder Woman 84 movie, not a thread for people to complain about the first Wonder Woman movie, or to complain about what they think is going to be in WW84.

Thanks for the tip! I hunted down the Actors on Actors conversation. It's worth watching, even if only for their Patty Jenkins sound effects impersonations in the beginning. They chat about Wonder Woman 84 and how Patty Jenkins directed it in the last five or so.
I hope Cheetah will not be reformed or destroyed rather stay powerful and back
If this movie has an element of tragedy to it, I imagine Cheetah will survive but remain cursed so she can pop up in later movies.
I confess I doubt she will carry over into another film. Unlike tv series, movies are big on one and done villains. Its a rare film for a villain to remain around for a potential sequel.
I hope Cheetah will not be reformed or destroyed rather stay powerful and back
I hope that Diana takes Barbara to Themyscira for rehabilitation. But, it fails for the purpose of a future film, whether another WW or Justice League instalment and Cheetah returns.

But it can be done. And Cheetah is the type of villain that can work as a recurrent role in the franchise. There is a lot that can be done with her in the long run. Since she has potential as anti hero and eventually get redemption.

Why though? Wonder Woman has lot of villains. There is no reason for Cheetah arc to be carried to sequels

Cheetah and all her main villains should have more than one appearance in the films. It helps with establishing them more in the mind of the general audience.

I don't know if they're going to continue with the building of the Legion of Doom, but if they are, then Cheetah will still be around.

Because The Cheetah is her Main villain. This is like asking why do we keep seeing Lex Luthor. Barbara Ann or even Priscilla should be treated as her Lex Luthor/Joker. And the more often we see her, and she's treated with respect, power and fear, the more she can turn into that type of villain for Diana.
Why though? Wonder Woman has lot of villains. There is no reason for Cheetah arc to be carried to sequels
Because ... if written correctly, Cheetah can be a sympathetic, compelling, powerful and charismatic villain. Or even an anti-heroine. If Cheetah returns, maybe it's because Diana frees her from prison to help Diana battle some other villain (e.g. Circe).
Why though? Wonder Woman has lot of villains. There is no reason for Cheetah arc to be carried to sequels
Black Manta's arc is carrying over into sequels, so why can't Cheetah's?
Especially as that doesn't prevent any other villains from appearing as well.
