"JENKINS explains that everyone is only going to discover about the return of Trevor when they see the movie"
"The director says the movie is going to be very different from the first, it'll be a movie about the 80s. She chose this time cause it's a moment where we had the best and worst of human being".
"What I really like about WW is that people, any one, don't matter their gender, can look at her and indetify with her, sayd Jenkins"
About the video:
"Diana battles some guys in a mall, uses her lasso! COOL!"
"Then there is a scene of her running on the street, but it's really weird. She's kinda floating... weird scene. The title comes after it: Wonder Woman 1984"
"The same costume, Gal is amazing, and it's obvious they still have to polish the scene. Maybe that's why her running is so weird. But still, WONDER WOMAN is back!"
Other people:
"First #WonderWoman1984 footage is VERY '80s, with WW facing off with two guys in a bright, colorful mall. A second short clip showed her running through the streets, speeding by a bunch of colorful cars and costumes.
It is so good to have Gal Gadot back as Wonder Woman. #SDCC" https://twitter.com/jmdornbush/status/1020740619038162944

Well. Shazam has technically been flying even longer than Superman has. Soooooo.....

I guess that makes it alright.
A male superhero can have all the powers he is used to, but not a female?
At least Captain Marvel will get to fly. Another superhero that has beaten Wonder Woman to the punch.

Diana didn't have flight for decades and it's never been an indispensable piece of her image.
Captain Marvel? You mean that hero movie that's only getting made as a direct response to Diana beating her to the punch by a country mile? The one Marvel thought was so unimportant that they knocked it back a couple years to make room for YET ANOTHER Spider-Man movie?

Wonder Woman’s had flight longer than she’s had a sword

As von Hammersmark said, what about her sword? What about her shield? What about Zeus as a daddy? She has had flight longer than all of these as far as I know of. Are they all part of an indispensable piece of her image?
At the very least, you probably should qualify your statement and say that you don't want Wonder Woman to fly. If that is the case, no need to respond to my posts, since I have been very consistent in mine. They have not shorted Superman and most likely Shazam of their core powersets, but they have for Wonder Woman.
As for why Captain Marvel hasn't been used yet, you have to ask Marvel that. She is not part of a Trinity like Wonder Woman is, nor is she supposed to be the most famous superheroine in the world. And yet, cape or no cape, she is going to be able to fly in her movie, and Wondy isn't.
Good job DCEU!!!

I’m thinking the OP meant Shazam-Captain Marvel....

Let's not derail yet another thread arguing about her having or not having flight, please.

No marvel’s Captian Marvel. Carol Denver. Formally known as Ms.Marvel

I meant Captain Marvel, even though both will have movies out next year, I think.
It can be confusing to me given that Shazam has been called Captain Marvel, and Carol Danvers has been called Ms Marvel and now Captain Marvel, and apparently the new writer for Wonder Woman has been writing the current Ms Marvel series.

Am I the only one disappointed that we didn't get Peter Dinklage as Dr Psycho ?
Am I the only one disappointed that we didn't get Peter Dinklage as Dr Psycho ?
Peter Dinklage is a great actor, so in that sense it's a loss. But Dr Psycho is steeped in ableism. Add to that Dr Psycho is a natural fit to explore and critique the incel and MRA movements, but using his "classical" look will short-circuit any such by deflecting it onto a person who is presented as ugly and deformed. Especially after the first movie received critique for the way it portrayed Dr Poison.
