This echoes my thoughts on all but one, maybe two, of the phase 4 projects I've seen. Which admittedly isn't many; though that itself is an indictment as I've watched all of Phase 1-3.
The one thing I could be interested in…no; Clea’s intro impressed me not at all.
That's being insulting to the frying pan. Why so mean Mr. Pointies
I’ve made it through the whole thing and…I must apologize to the pan, you are correct.

Am now halfway through Dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness. Good lord, this is a poorly-made movie. All eye-candy and nothing more; it has all the depth of a frying pan.
I loved it as a pure horror type flick. It really feels like it was a Raimi movie, shots and all, which I felt was generally superior to MCU product at this point.
It also kinda doesn't really make sense but making sense just makes the MCU product at this point so see previous sentence on my feelings there lol

My biggest problem was that Wong and Strange, arguably two of the most powerful beings on Earth, felt completely undermined and useless almost the entire film.
Nothing they did actually mattered. They stalled Wanda, that’s it. In the end Wanda defeated Wanda, Strange had little to do with it.
Same with the Illuminati. Utterly pointless and didn’t matter.

Edens Zero: [spoil]So, Cure fancies himself to be another Aizen. Admittedly, this does explain why Drakken just so happened to stumble upon a book that told him how to use his Ether Gear as a child. Same with Nero's dice. And what he did to the Yukino Cosmos, simply to mold Holy into the warrior he wanted her to be, is just vile. I'm glad that Acronella and Ziggy are outliers in his plans for "Balance". I'm hoping that he isn't taken out too quickly since he is an intriguing villain.[/spoil]
Seven Deadly Sins KoTA: Jeez, Arthur, when and where did you get the Gate of Babylon? Gilga-douche will not be pleased. [spoil]Seriously, Arthur is genuinely intimidating and off-putting as the series' seemingly main antagonist and his attempts at gaslighting Brittania with visions of his ideal Camelot while endorsing racial cleansing just solidifies how far gone he is. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing how Meliodas measures up against him.[/spoil]
In other news, I never thought that this would get a remake and western localization. But I am glad I was wrong.

If you want an insight into how deeply stupid and weird my country is being at the moment, this clip covers the particulars.
I will add that most food banks are currently due to be closed on Monday, my mum works at one and pointed out that food bank usage is usually high on a mindset because the whole family is at home on the weekend so people are running out of food.
We are a deeply unserious country and I fucking hate it here at the moment.
Also, between the cancellations of events, the national holiday, the Coronation of the new king and the state funeral itself, it has been estimated that this farce will cost £6 billion to the economy which, let me tell you, is very welcome during a cost of living crisis.

It feels like a combination between Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro, and I'm all for it.

Fair enough! ^_^
For my part, I was hoping for more depth, more characterization, a more interesting antagonist, more exploration of what it all might mean, and a more satisfying resolution. I felt that I received an overabundance of action and a real heavy lean on special effects and flash-bang, to the point where I was numbed and disconnected. Same with the introduction of 'new things' - no time to explore anything, just 'here's a new thing, here's a new thing, here's a new thing', with none of them having any real impact on me.
As an example of that, the scene where Strange and Chavez are shooting through the different universes. It's going to sound odd to say about a visually explosive scene like that, but it dragged for me. It could have been one fifth or a quarter the length of what it was and made its point incredibly well, leaving more time for other things of a deeper sort, but instead it went on, and on, and on, to the point where I was sitting there thinking 'okay, enough of this, it has actually become boring because...it's not an experience, it's a strobe-effect that has lost any appeal.'
And I feel the movie also suffers from the 'lighthearted' business I discussed re: Spider-man No Way Home. Funny to say in a movie of this nature, with all kinds of grim and grisly stuff, but the constant Whedon-esque quipping that has become the hallmark of the MCU really kills any gravitas.
I don't want grim-dark, but the quips during very serious situations create both a lack of impact in that situation and a very different characterization for the characters. <- this is sadly par for the course for movies in this day and age.
Far From Home did struggle with that a little at the end, but in all did a far better job.

Valid point. ^_^ Still, not what I want to watch.

New Batman comic once again completely ignores Cass from the 'family'. Go figure.

I gotta say, the Covid years and post onwards had me really evolved my character's grandfather from an uncool martial arts hermit...Into basically Heihachi Mishima if he's just a colossus dick than evil (in that tossing his own kid off a cliff or running a massive Zaibatsu that people have reason to despise kind of thing). But still, he lives in the woods and his family are still iffy about him but love him...In that we don't like you but we care about you way.
And yes, he's arguably top tier of a fighter in my canon.
