That's our only hope ! I really miss Wally and I'd like to share Byrd156's optimism for once ! :D
Young Justice will bring Wally back, even if it's only temporary. I can feel it.
I see the this season ending with the Team taking on Darkseid and Wally returning from the Speed Force or whatever to help in the final fight. I would like a full on return but I don't know. Honestly I feel like DC has probably given Weisman and co some notes about Wally with might've altered their plans for him.
I don't remember Bruce interacting with Garth a great deal.
I don't know about friendship, but Bruce has(d) a strong respect for Wally.
I think even worse than his mentor, Garth just gets sidelined in general.
I think Bruce probably likes Roy more he does Ollie. :p
I think most of the dcu likes anyone more than Ollie. lol.
A strict dominant guy like Bruce would like the good guys like Barry and Wally since they respect rules. It's the disobedient rulebreakers like Hal or Guy he dislikes. Roy seems to be the latter.
Maybe when Wally was older he was a little more respectful of the rule, but as a teenager and young guy forget it. That's what makes him so fun. :p

I would describe myself as a practical cynic and I see Wally's return as inevitable. Young Justice is very much it's own universe but it is built upon past aspects/events of popular and well loved stories. From War World to the Reach invasion to the Titans fight with Mr. Twister etc. One big thing for the Flash family is the deaths and returns they always go through. To me I can't see Weisman and co set up Wally's death and not capitalize on a triumphant return.
At the start of season 3 we see the JLA as distrusted across the galaxy and ineffectual on Earth. Part of the team is gone and Dick seems to be the only one doing anything of importance. The hero community is fundamentally broken at this point in the YJ universe. I see Wally's return (mostly likely at the end) as a triumphant return to form for the rest of the DCU. It would symbolize the broken heroes coming back together and proving that the young heroes or Young Justice is ready to take over. The big thing to think about here is that this is a tv show, not a comic series overseen by a bunch of editors. They have a very different way of writing, they don't have to worry about arcs changing month to month or a new team coming in and changing things. This is one big story with smaller gears moving together that has been planned years in advance, Wally will get some sort of pay off. Whether it's a return of some sorts or even something smaller like a reminder that helps the team go on. His death will not be shown to be in vain, otherwise that would be a huge writing misstep for the show.

Reminds me of that GREAT scene where Guy lets Bruce know what he thinks of him out the window of the Watchtower with Bats stating straight faced "Guy needs a shave".
PURE gold!!

Love him, one of the best comic scene of all time.
Give us Guy Gardner back for good! This incompetent editorial is sidelining all his best characters

What makes me think Wally will return in YJ, other than the references we had during the first three episodes, is the ending of S2. Bart came back in the past, thinking that saving Barry would also save Earth’s future. But at the end of the season, we can see that nothing changed in the future. I think Bart saved the wrong Flash and he knew Wally was going to die at some point.
I like Byrd156’s point of view either. There’s clearly something broken in the YJ universe.
I love this world. But there’s something missing. :D

So you're saying Bart traded Wallys life for Barry's?
So you're saying Bart traded Wallys life for Barry's?
Nope. I think he knew both of them were going to die but it seems he believed that saving Barry would change everything. Only the spectator knows it didn't change anything.

Barry was supposed to die in a different scenario, not the season finale with the Reach's bombs where Wally did but with the energy waves guy. I think Wally's death was more of a result of Bart messing with the timeline because Bart had no such knowledge of Wally's demise.
-
Putting aside the crappy treatment Wally has been getting in the comics witch also started very hopeful to him, I'm just not too confident in good treatment of Wally. Or even his appearance at all since he is "dead".
If it was after the first season I would be more hopefull since he had a good showing in there. But he was gone the whole second season for reasons while everyone else on the team played some role. Only to come back at the end to die.
So I'm not exactly brimming with confidence after that.

You are right. I thought the way he was hugging Wally in S02E06 was clue but saving Barry might be the reason Wally died. Still, with Barry being a dad, I think Wally could help him as The Flash. And Bart will need a mentor.

I get it, things have been rough for a long time. But this isn't permanent, we don't know if Wally will be back in YJ or back in comics sometime soon. What I do know is that DC can't keep him down forever. He'll be back whether it's in YJ, or a new series tv or comic.

Well guys, I've e-mailed my letter to DC entertainment, the next thing is to post it tomorrow. I'm not sure anything will come of it but it can't hurt to try.
Wally deserves better and I'm doing my bit to try. In the mean time, thanks for the link to those awesome Wally pictures on tumblr, Spider-Ham!

Your letter was great. I hope they will take the time to read it. I’ll finish mine really soon. Or I’ll make it evolve in another project. I’m really tired to see that DC won’t listen to us.

Odds are Wally was the one that eventually taught Bart's dad 'the move' Bart used in "Bloodlines" in the original timeline. Bart awkwardly attributed it to Barry, but we know he was dead and Jay was already in his 90's in season two.

Thanks guys for writing in to dc. Maybe there is a chance something will happen. You'r definitely doing your part.

Watching Young Justice now. I gotta say its kinda annoying and sticks out that EVERY single one of the original six are still around and make appearances EXCEPT for Wally.
Should be used to it at this point really.

I wish you guys luck! I wrote to them about two years ago and finally decided to let my money do the talking.

Whatever in your letters, it's going to take multiple, and loss of significant amount of money. The letter is to give an idea about what the loss of money mean, but they still need to lose money.
Out of all of Dick's friends I think he likes Wally best. Honestly I think Bruce likes most of Dick's friends, some more than others.
Bruce's relationship with Wally can be at best described as professional and oftentimes as directly antagonistic. They've never gotten along outside of the animated universe. The best they do is work together. Batman is like the only superhero Wally interacted with frequently that he didn't get along with.
Which doesn't surprise me. If your best friend was Dick Grayson and your father figure was Barry you would look at Bruce in a much poorer light than his peers or his real world fans do. It's pretty sensible that they don't like each other.

I know, that's why I didn't finish the letter (yet). I'm currently working on a website/fan page dedicated to Wally West, talking about highlights in Wally's career.
Don't know when I'll finally launch it since my english is not that good and working on a website isn't my thing either x)
But I think it's important to gather fans and have a place where we can remember what Wally West means to a lot of people and what he meant for DC. In many ways, I still think he's the embodiment of the DCU.

Same here . It's not just that DC is turning me off with what they are doing to Wally but their stories and how they are portraying the DC heroes are just not very interesting to me.
I can't remember the last time I cared so little with what was happening in the dcu. I feel like we're in the same atmosphere as right before Rebirth, where no one really cares.
The shoe is going to drop soon I feel.

Most of those actors look familiar to me, yet the only one I'm certain of is David Tennant, presumably as Eobard Thawne. Iris (I assume that is Iris) and Linda are driving me particularly crazy.

Yelchin wouldn't have been my first choice but looking at him now I could see how he could have made a pretty good Wally. I would have been good if they would have cast him.
