Slott's exploring how it's affecting Tony. It really is interesting what he's doing with Tony.
I’m convinced now.
Can I just start Slotts run without reading any of Bendis’ work? Is there any important run that prologue to Slotts run? Please don’t say Bendis lmao

No. You can just start with Slott's first trade. It let's you know what is going on currently.

I read some comments on Reddit and comicvine, fellers are asking “is Tony Stark rich again”, did he go bankrupt recently?
-
Due to the events of Superior Iron Man, he was short of funds a few years ago. The consequences were that Avengers Tower was sold off and the ANAD Avengers were unpaid, resulting in recruitment problems - hence why half the team was teenagers. And when Tony went in a coma in Civil War II, the board at Stark Industries did all they could to try and get control. That's why when he returned, he restructured, forming Stark Unlimited.

You know what? I am a sucker for sad endings, so this is hyping me more. But I doubt Disney will take any form of a depressing route. I wish they would though, MCU movies need a little bit of grim tone.

You don’t think that the company that killed Bambi’s mom will go the depressing route?!?!?!

People who think Disney doesn't do dark haven't watched much Disney. They've made a studio career out of telling incredibly dark tragedies using technically G-rated rules.

That's a man talking about how he wants to rape someone so bad he's willing to murder an entire city to satisfy his lust. Disney.

You beat me to it. Very nice summarization of how Tony lost and gained a new company and his wealth.
