Great minds post alike. ;)
Does it maybe look like Rogue is getting hit with two side-by-side “beams?” I’m on my phone and my kid has been trying to grab it off me so maybe not.

It's kind of hard to tell. It could be two...?
I absolutely love the Gambit preview image.
Yeah, it kind of looks like it could be two beams maybe? There is a more yellow tinge to the left side. Is she caught in some kind of crossfire?
And I've always wondered if Rogue feels pain even when she doesn't necessarily take damage. I think we've had that debate before.
Maybe it is a good thing in this case?
Some times being on the spotlight and super important can cause a lot of trouble
I agree with this for sure. I'm glad none of the big name writers such as Bendis, Aaron, Fraction and the like have used and then ruined Gambit and Rogue. So many of the really popular characters like Thor and Spider-Man have had their characters and mythos damaged in my eyes. They may be more popular than ever, but I personally don't enjoy their current versions anymore. While Gambit hasn't gotten much attention over the last few years, he still remains pretty much the same character that I have always enjoyed. Rogue has gotten a bit more attention than Gambit, but she still remains about the same as well thankfully(as in awesome!). I'd rather they are used a little less than that they become the focus of editorial and the big name writers and are warped almost beyond recognition.

And it's really just shameful that so many writers dislike Gambit.
Yep, it's just sad. He's probably the only comic character at his level of popularity among the fans that has so many writers and editors willing to publicly and in usage (or non-usage as is often the case)show their dislike of him.
A yellow blast is curious. Candra??

Or it could simply be an energy weapon.
She does have a habit of dying and coming back randomly, lol. Probably just energy weapons though.

KT told that Sinister won`t appear so I am hoping for Candra. She is cool.
Looked again, it does look like two, one yellow one pink. Hmm...

She was so great in the first Gambit mini. Shame I can't find the whole scene online, but Remy charming her and nabbing the elixir from her is still such a great moment. I liked that she was a real threat, but also flawed in such fun ways.

It seems we will have some fine artist for #12.
KT told that we got lucky.

Can't wait to see who it is!
Seems likely. ;)

I was just thinking...What if absorbing Carol triggers Rogue to develop energy manipulation powers? Five years ago, Rogue was able to absorb Wonderman's ability for the first time. The only explanation Rick Remender gave via Rogue on how she was able to do this is "I've been practicing". We don't know how Rogue's powers have "evolved". But it certainly would be a development of what she could do in absorbing Simon.
Just read Captain Marvel 5 and it was good, but since I’m not really that much of a Carol Danvers fan I had the nitpickiest of nitpicks. Since the gross villain was planning on marrying the winner of the battle last issue, I was hoping for a mention of Rogue actually being married but no dice. It’d just be nice to see the marriage mentioned somewhere in the larger marvel universe. Then there was a panel I would have hoped to see her wedding ring but also no dice. Still worth picking up if you look past my completely trivial and unimportant notes.

Not unreasonable expectations. I was thinking the same thing. ;)
I did like the exchange between Rogue and Carol. It tied in nicely with MMX.
Definitely! I loved that thread vining it’s way in. Very thoughtful and a nice touch.
