Ok I couldn't upload all the gifs to my blog since there were too many and there is a limit to what I could post so I went ahead and made a giphy to save these all too.
[URL="https://giphy.com/channel/imperiuswrecked"]GIF LINK[/URL]
Anyone is free to use as they see fit for their gif needs and also I have a shorter gif of Namor shaking his fist as well as a couple doctor strange and one iceman. If I make more gif in the future I will put it in that account. Enjoy!
Here a couple of my favorites:

Heh. Well, I wouldn't have said Sinister ... rather the FF's mos FABULOUS villains. But really, that list is ... less than truth, IMO. The Frightful Four? How did they make it? Or Griever? But I'm glad they remembered Namor. He'll probably show up on their most FABULOUS Allies too. ;p Thanks for posting it!
[QUOTE=LordUltimus;4137231]Clickbait, who cares?[/QUOTE]
Probably true, but it's FF Week! The clickbait may help prove Marvel needs to get off their butts and start treating the FF as their premier property.

I'm going to check out the others on the link at Lunch ... I hope.

Let's see if this works. The right click, copy image location gives a different link address than the web address you posted. So, I'm trying that in between the img tags.
I love the pan over Namor in the first one... and his incredible rotating head. O_O
The second had me LOL at work.

lol, also the link takes you to my main giphy channel page where all the gifs are located and you hover the mouse over each gif to see a chainlink and a heart floating in the upper right corner, click the chain and it copies the gif to your clipboard which you can use to paste between the img. If it doesn't work let me know so i can figure it out. :)

[QUOTE=Thor-El;4138052]These are all great! But is it me or Namor's head seems to be a bit too big in scale to his body? [/QUOTE]
The scales are a bit off but for a cartoon they got pretty close to Namor's personality, even though the eye color is wrong and here it shows Steve being both taller and buffer than Namor even though he and Namor are the same height and Namor is heavier than him. lol. I really do wish we could get a animated movie or cartoon series of the sub-mariner because i feel that would give artists a huge range to play around in since it would be easier to show the underwater scenes.

Well. Looks like Marvel just gave Namor a pretty insane high-end feat.

I LOVED the story about the girl who could see the future and became a water dweller. I've mentioned her before myself. Of course with the many times Atlantis has been decimated since that mid '80s story, she could be easily gone.

I'm not sure about Sybil. I don't think I've seen anything with her after that. But, I always got the feeling that ROM was sort of out of continuity for some reason. Probably because Marvel lost the rights to ROM. But then again ... I think they used the Dire-Wraths in some cosmic stuff in the last five years or so?
Tamara Rahn is criminally NOT being used at all. I think the last time I saw her, she was still unhappy with Namor, but she was helping out with that terrorist group, Atlantique? It was back in the Thunderbolts revival. I'll have to double check.

No new images or spoilers, but Adventures in Poor Taste has a great review up on Invaders. They gave it a TEN!!!
[url]http://www.adventuresinpoortaste.com/2019/01/15/invaders-1-review-a-bold-beginning/[/url]
Lots of praise, but this paragraph made this Namor fan very happy.
[QUOTE]Namor very much takes center stage in this saga, as the entire narrative is built around and driven by him. He has a new vision, one to utterly reframe the world and here he begins to set in motion the foundations to accomplish his goals. Meanwhile, the other Invaders contemplate their stance on him and what to do with him, considering their old friendship. Memories and War are key themes the book establishes early on, which is fitting considering its nature as a title with great history and legacy. It directly tackles those notions at the heart of the Invaders title and concept while digging into the leads. Zdarsky, who’s written a defining run on Peter Parker, is once again showcasing his incredible range with the title. Many often simply assume he is only a comedic writer, but Zdarsky is a creator bound by no such labels and Invaders is a mighty mission statement that rings with the potency of a Mark Gruenwald comic. Carrying similar weight and gravitas, the book sets up and begins to explore ideas of memory and how it truly makes us who we are and what place forgetting has in things. Beyond that, it also reminds us to truly take stock of our history, both good and bad so that we may learn from it and move forward. This plays out across our various leads in differing ways, as what one learns can drastically differ from person to person.[/QUOTE]
I can't wait to see what Namor's plan / secret is. Plus, the theme of memory and forgetting is an especially perfect one for Namor, with his amnesia problems. There's only been one book that touched on his days as a hobo and you know that's got have made an impression on him, but you rarely see him talk about it.

Tomorrow is going to be heaven.
AIPT also has an early review of Marvel Comics Presents 1 -- not as in depth as the Invaders review, which is by a different author, but it gives the book a 8.5. Again, no new images, but a tiny bit more info about the "Good Guy At Heart."
[url]http://www.adventuresinpoortaste.com/2019/01/15/marvel-comics-presents-1-review/[/url]
The pertinent part for this thread:
[QUOTE=David Brooke@AIPT]The second story by Pak and artist Tomm Coker focuses on Namor and how he was used during WWII. Used by the Americans in 1945, to be more precise. He’s sick of the war and how it is influencing Atlantis. It jives well with the original story of Namor (which is collected this week in Decades: Marvel in the 40s) and shows how he’s a good guy at heart, but is certainly a pawn of sorts. It’s a good story, with an impressive giant Nazi monster rendered by Coker (with colors by Michael Garland) and the overall story has a darker tone that suits the war-time events.[/QUOTE]
I love how the question above Namor's page -- "Fine, you have my attention. What’s good about it?" -- makes it look like Namor is the answer to his question. ;p
Also, the caption for Namor's page.

Man, even more news!
[url]https://www.bleedingcool.com/2019/01/15/invaders-1-rewrites-history-of-namor-and-the-x-men-spoilers/[/url]
Bleeding Cool SPOILS one of the Namor bits here, with a big change / rewrite of Namor's history. They also claim he has new powers. I don't know. They may have given the Sacred Trident more powers. I know that Pak and Van Lente had Namor using a trident that had actual powers that were similar. But I think that one was one that Poseidon was currently using.
As for the rewrite ... I've long contended that there was no way Namor could have been an amnesiac from 1958 to sliding timeline of 13 years ago. Makes. Absolutely. No. Sense.
-
Neither does the rewrite if I'm reading that right... [spoil]Is Professor X to blame for the amnesia!?! What was he doing there?[/spoil]
-
In light of the Marvel Comics Presents story I wanted to ask what was the explanation given for what happened to Namor after the war? I know he shows up in Fantastic Four #4 at the beginning of the marvel universe but how did he get his amnesia the first time? I know that something happened to Atlantis, a bomb or something destroyed it.
Edit: wait i forgot about Destiny.
-
Happy new year to all Atlanteans!
Just a few words about tomorrow's issues... The story in Marvel Presents is short but interesting. And I love Coker's art (Black Monday Murders...). I decided to trade wait for the Invaders book, but the art is fine and it seems that there's a lot going on in this story... I'm just waiting for you all to tell me more.... ;)
-
I don't think I mind a history recon during Namor's amnesia days but the added super powers? Guess we have to wait and see how it goes. Hopefully, it will add more depth to the character instead of it being unnecessary additive.

Are we talking about the [spoil]radiation immunity[/spoil] or the [spoil]hydrokinesis[/spoil]? Because the first isn't an addition, but the second, if he's doing it by himself, yes, is additive. I'm not all that fond of the second, as it smacks of other DC characters, but I wouldn't neccesarily be against it if it was a weapon.

I was thinking about all afternoon. You know what would be great? If they said Namor went back to Atlantis and has been doing undersea political or fabulous exploring adventures all those years! What would be even more amazing, is if they gave us a retro book set in that between period! We'd get both Betty Dean AND Lady Dorma -- the originals -- back! They could build all the glorious undersea cities and countries and how they interact.

The second. I mean it could work depending on how it was used but at this point why? Namor has so many powers that have just vanished or are rarely ever used it's kind of weird to tact another on. However, at the same time if the ability is used effectively ... I could be ok with it. I am an admitted sucker for[spoil] element manipulation powers[/spoil]...when handled correctly.

That's the SECRET! I can't wait to find out more. But I don't think it's saying he is responsible for the amnesia. I think it is saying that the amnesia wasn't as long as some people think.

If Marvel was to do that it would go a long way to setting up and establishing the dynamics of Atlantis and the people of the sea in more depth, which could be used by future writers to draw on, and tbh I just really would love to see more Betty Dean and Dorma. lol

A variant cover I haven't seen. I think it is by Marcos Martin?
[QUOTE=David Pepose @Newsarama] [SIZE=3]Which brings us to Greg Pak and Tomm Coker, the undisputed heroes of this anthology thus far. Given his resurgence in The Best Defense, Avengers, and this week’s Invaders book, it’s been a big couple weeks for Namor the Sub-Mariner, but let me just tell you right now - Pak and Coker have them all beat, because this is by far the best the character has read in quite some time. Pak deftly leans into the otherworldliness of Namor as an Atlantean who has nevertheless been drawn into the all-too-human conflict of World War II - and finding his own limits to how much bloodshed he can tolerate.
Pak’s story is somber and moody, with the quiet moments often feeling more potent than the obligatory robot smashing - and much of that atmosphere is the result of Coker’s terrific artwork. There’s little bits of Michael Lark and Butch Guice to Coker’s shadowy artwork, the way he plays with contrasts in the water and the craggy landscape of Namor’s face. Coker has this amazing way of warping light around Namor to better illustrate his mood - in particular, the look on Namor’s face when he talks about the dead of Hiroshima is haunting. Honestly, this story feels like exactly the kind of story Marvel Comics Presents should be pursuing - taking passionate creators like Pak and bringing them with artists like Image alum Coker, and delivering a spin on a character that doesn’t get enough love.
...There are flashes of genius in this book - Pak and Coker’s Sub-Mariner story proves that definitively...[/SIZE][/QUOTE]
IOW, the Namor story is great, and the best thing about this issue. :)[CENTER][/CENTER]

And if these two gems somehow weren't enough Namor for you tomorrow ... THIS comes out tomorrow also!!!
We should just call this NAMOR WEDNESDAY!

Of course! I do have ulterior motives. ;p
But the world building opportunities would be amazing. The stories you could do! Lovecraftian horror. GoT political fantasy. Noir. RomCom. High Fantasy. Pulp adventures. Eco Warrior. And mostly underwater with gorgeous visuals of the oceanscape. And that's before I even start thinking about the history of the era. So much potential.
