Good grief, didn't notice it the first time I saw a smaller version of this image, but Scott's neck thingy doesn't even have a freakin' outline.
Just take away the underwear above the pants and I'd be glad already.
I need the curls and/or ponytail back, too. I’m also just tired of her looking like Armor’s fraternal twin.
Rosenberg couldn't be more unsubtle about character deaths unless he literally loaded them on a bus and blew it up just like the old days.
Almost forgot to ask. Who do we think is dying this issue?
I thiiiiink:
-Fabian Cortez
-Hope Summers
-Indra (shows up just to die)
-Dr Nemesis
-probably maybe Elixir
Down with the ResurreXion-era, antisemitic Kitty design. I think, aside from Rachel, she’s the only one who kept her design. Can we please get something even 1/4 better? Please?
Yeah, though Rachel had a good design for a while during the Mesmero period (I fully believe Guggs brought the Prestige thing back out of spite, just like he walked back his promise that Kitty would get a new costume).
I think Colossus also kept his Syaf design, though he did grow back his beard.
when's that shroud and white-non shroud costume coming to prime
no one even uses that dork anymore

Who’s Colossus?
It’s canon that Mesmero has more fashion sense than Rachel. At least her hound marks are back and she isn’t wearing that weird mask that sort of encircled her face.

That was not a mask. That was a detachable unibrow that wasn't colored like her normal hair color.
Ultimate Kitty had the best costumes until that trash Ultimates series where she wore that Gen X thing that made her look like a child.
i like.

It was great. Just change the color scheme and stamp a bunch of X-es on the jacket.
(I think I derailed a thread again -_-)

We can always talk about who we think won't make it out of this issue.
it's time gamers hope will die to give the meowtants a new hope

What is Kitty's hair brownish red?
This issue gonna be explosive

Best looking Kitty ever.
This issue gonna be explosive
I hope it is the good kind of explosive and not the bad kind. It is easy to be controversial and do some drastic stuff but i don't think that is always good or healthy.
I wonder, what could be the weirdest most explosive thing that could happen on this issue?

I have no idea. Rosenberg is going crazy on his uncanny run
it doesn't look like a good way explosive, seems like what happen will anger fans
Best looking Kitty ever.
She never looked like that…
She never looked like that…
she looked while she was on space

He kills everyone off and the final pages has Scott waking up from his nightmare greeted by Jean and the returning X-men

Callahan puts Elixir and Marrow into Sentinels that have to be put down by the X-Men. idk someone punches Emma and spits on her. Karma comes back only to be gruesomely murdered by a feral Magik. Callahan admits he has a pee fetish.
It has to be something big because if I remember correctly this comes after the Omega issue.
He kills everyone off and the final pages has Scott waking up from his nightmare greeted by Jean and the returning X-men
That would be cool
I wonder, what could be the weirdest most explosive thing that could happen on this issue?
Cyclops - of a ll people - breaking the Fourth Wall? That panel Rosenberg tweeted totally looks like him addressing the camera as opposed to giving a crap about the giant death robot that's standing, like, 20 feet behind him.
Callahan puts Elixir and Marrow into Sentinels that have to be put down by the X-Men.
Probably going to happen, right?
idk someone punches Emma and spits on her.
Kinda surprised the former hasn't happened. The latter would be hilarious in a 'why bother NOW?' kind of way.
Karma comes back only to be gruesomely murdered by a feral Magik.
Could totally happen too. Anyone else finding it hilarious the crew is seemingly not trying to do anything about it?
Callahan admits he has a pee fetish.
Callahan is Xavier. Cue dramatic music.
He kills everyone off and the final pages has Scott waking up from his nightmare greeted by Jean and the returning X-men
Everything that has happened except Cyclops' team up with Champions has been a hallucination of Scott. That's why there he did not seem to be any problems with having only one eye. All the X-Men were a representation of Scott's sense of guilt.
And that's why none of the other X-Men except Logan appear in War of the Realms in other books, where everyone mentions that the 4F are the only heroes left in NY.
It is so stupid that it could be true.

Havok and Multiple Man both show up in the Champions book

Wait, so he spent the entire crossover standing around in an empty field and talking to himself except when the Champions teleported in? So... whoever's running the psychic show gave him a beard and bad hair for the sake of grimdark?
It is so stupid that it could be true.
I had an horrible thought. Scott spent the entire run eating salad at that diner and Xavier has been sitting in front of him for the whole five minutes it took to run the sim.
Havok and Multiple Man both show up in the Champions book
Ok, they are a psychic projection of Xavier.
Well, there’s still hope for Banshee, then.
So it was all a dream....... well, um.. that's going to cause some problems
So it was all a dream....... well, um.. that's going to cause some problems
leaving this run as canon creates even more problems
leaving this run as canon creates even more problems
I mean that wouldn't be the worst thing marvel did with the xmen or cause the most problems

Eating soup, like in the old days.

Giving Scott new levels of trauma just to show him how bad things would be for mutants if he tried running the show on his own again would be so in-character for X. I don't think it'll happen, but it'd almost make sense.
I mean that wouldn't be the worst thing marvel did with the xmen or cause the most problems
It creates more problems than undoing it. Leaving it as is is detrimental going forward whereas revealing it to be a dream doesnt really create much or any problems for the line

I actually think this is likely. Rosenberg has been using this run to wrap up alot of his plotpoints from his other books and X-related projects. X is the only significant thing that hasnt come up yet

Did not they do that once with Prodigy?
Did not they do that once with Prodigy?
Kind of. Similar means and themes, but not quite the same goals on that one. Besides, pretty sure X-Writers get to trot out each of the telepathic mind-fuckery plots every fourteen years or so. ;)
Probably going to happen, right?
Yeah, Callahan separates them from Emma and we haven’t seen them in the facility at all. They probably had something horrifying done to them. Also I would be SHOCKED but also not really surprised if Emma didn’t use that opportunity to just shut Callahan’s mind off.
Kinda surprised the former hasn't happened. The latter would be hilarious in a 'why bother NOW?' kind of way.
Everyone else just stands there while it happens like: “.......um anyways aren’t we supposed to be finding the X-Men?”
It would not make any sense that Elixir could be infected with the transmode virus so Rosenberg is likely to do so.
It creates more problems than undoing it. Leaving it as is is detrimental going forward whereas revealing it to be a dream doesnt really create much or any problems for the line

well it also makes the run a complete giant filler meteor

it is only missing Xavier from astonishing annual
