Cover Contest 8/7/2019 - August 7th to August 13th 2019: HAIL TO THE KING
Jack Kirby's 102nd birthday is this month on August 28. For this contest, you must pick a cover where the artist is doing an homage of a Jack Kirby cover. Now there are probably hundreds of homages of his Fantastic Four #1 alone if you can't think of one right away. But there are probably plenty of other covers that have been done. Here is a side by side by Kirby's Fantastic Four #60 with Jim Cheung's cover for Marvel Two in One #6 from 2017. It's not every day that I get a chance to post 3 different versions of Doom! :D You don't have to do a side by side comparison but just mention the cover being homaged. Or maybe be devious and make us guess! You don't have to limit yourself to just Kirby's Marvel work.

Post one (and only one) cover that fits the theme of this week's contest.
Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume.
Covers must be posted before voting begins.
It's ok to vote for the OP if you like their cover.
Voting begins 12 AM Tuesday and runs until 12 AM Wednesday PST.
Vote by posting the name in bold of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to tally votes.
The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period.
It's okay to discuss the covers but if you think someone's entry doesn't fit the theme or violates the rules don't argue it in the thread - simply don't vote for it.
Occasionally voting will result in a tie, in which case a tie breaking vote will be required from someone who has not yet voted.
