[spoil]Fingers crossed what this means! Apparently, this isn't even the biggest surprise according to Rich Johnston![/spoil]
I heard that...
[spoil]The plot is the same as Spider-Girl, but starring a son instead of a daugther and Peter lost his arm instead of a leg.[/spoil]

Nah it's something that will "set the board on fire"
Seems like [spoil] MJ dies in the beginning. There's a time skip, Peter is older with a beard and missing his arm. Similarities to Spider-Girl: Time skip, beard, missing limb, kid discovers heritage at the end of first issue. [/spoil]
I'm sure it'll be a good story, I didn't have much interest in reading it and I still don't.

Aw man. I wanted to be extra surprised haha
This video has some extra images from the comics including a look at the new character. And apparently, a Peter who looks like John Wick.

Is Peter destined to have a beard in the future as he ages? lol
Also, classic Marvel for spoiling parts of their own story the night before it releases...gotta love them haha

[spoil]oh yay gender-flipped spider-girl with extra fridging
how positively 1995 or is that 1973 of the abrams
funny how they had to put mj in the solicits for the first three issues to sucker people with pull lists into advance ordering it[/spoil]
It began with nepotism, now we have plagiarism (not to mention the misleading advertising that promised something "[I]new and different[/I]" because it is already common). I wonder what will come next...
To be honest, I think I'd care for the story they were advertising than this.
This is basically any dime-a-dozen Hollywood manpain story transplanted to Spider-Man.
I told you guys it would suck.

Don't even try it.
I will say...I was kind of hoping for something happier? I haven't read the issue yet, but I will in a few hours. But if the spoilers are completely true, then wow that's depressing. Sounds more like a Batman Dark Knight Returns setup than a Spider-Man story, you know?
Kind of seems to be a amalgamation of the threads of Spider Man: Renew your Vows ,Spider Man: Reign and Spider Girl now that I read the spoilers.
