I'm just answering the question as Slott has yet to set-up anything with him in terms of romance. That will likely change, but as of now there's been nothing.

Were it not for recent developments I'd say Nate Grey. They did seem pretty chummy bros while being held captive by Onslaught, back when Franklin still affected his Unca Ben Grimm's intonation.

Young enough for them to be couple when he reaches 18, But old enough for them not to touch the storyline until then.

That would be appropriate, Franklin and Hope should be reasonably close in age, she might be 16 to his 14.

I prefer Rachel being with a woman, but there is a certain amount of story symmetry if she ended up with Franklin.

They could show the future 10000 years from now out in the far reaches of space and we find Franklin the herald to Galactus, and then Phoenix Rachel comes on the scene and we find out she has been there all along.

I'm kinda surprised Hickman isn't handling this story himself..

Well, I suppose that he could still possibly be bi.

Anyway, I was thinking the only X-characters that seem age appropriate are Maxime and Manon, although, it isn't clear how old they are supposed to be so perhaps they're too young? Also he could probably do better.

I'm guessing Hickman will look over the scripts and also ask for some seeds to be planted for future stories.
