Don't forgot when an evil combo of two certain people tried to possess him and used his power to almost kill his parents. That can't be good for the psyche....
i remember his parents not being able to protect him from Onslaught, if that is what you're referencing. i remember Professor X comforting him during that ordeal. and, again, it was an actual plot point that Unthinkable resulted in post traumatic stress for Franklin.
Also, you conveniently left out that Franklin was literally about to destroy everything. That's why Reed put his powers on ice back then.
how about when he forgot to pick Franklin up from school after pretending that the team was broke?

I don't trust X and Mags dealing with Franklin.
The last time they did, Youngblood's Diseased ravaged the Marvel Universe.

just take a hair and be done with it, mix him up with sugar spice an everything nice and avoid HBSS

Professor X during Onslaught was a different man from Krakoan X… Then it wouldn't occur to thim to separate a child from his parents…

So, you want to report him to social services?

might be a place to start. pretty sure that it happened during Claremont's run.

Giving young mutants a place to safely learn more about their powers among their peers, often separating them from their families is exactly what Xavier has ALWAYS done, given kids a choice
That's literally what the Institute was

Asking the parents was what Xavier has always done… well, before. (Only Jean did a little mind-control with Kitty Pryde's parents…)
Here, the situation is different: Franklin's parents are equipped to handle their son and have done it since the beginning.
What a regression: weren't they supposed to be friends or something?

Reed and Sue are, notoriously, bad friends.

So just give them a call or write them a nice letter or e-mail to let them know they'll always be available if Franklin wants to stop by or has any questions about his abilities and call it a day. I hope they'll at least call ahead and make an appointment for a meeting instead of just rolling up unannounced.

That's what I'm saying. You would think they would have learned from their previous mistakes and lessons and given the overall reactions of the world in general towards them.
I get that it's a "story" but...This whole conflict set-up seems quite PIS in a convoluted way, initially...when truth and in fact it's a resolution can be quite straight forward and simple, not requiring a whole 4-issues.
I have to admit...I just don't see the point or importance of it, conceptually.

Literally all they're doing is meeting with the kid, Xavier visited Kitty at home too
You guys make it seem like they're going to stick the kid in a sack and drag him out of their while his mother watches helplessly
-
I'm hoping the story ends with Franklin dying and then being resurrected on Krakoa without his powers. Perhaps he'll get a character not 100% defined by his powers. It's amazing how much I like his characterization more in the Power Pack comics when he was limited to astral projection and seeing into the future.

Who knows what they’ll get up to with the whole war with Wakanda going on.

What war with Wakanda? The Wakandan delegate was literally the only one that Magneto seemed to respect at that economic summit
