That would be insanely risky at best. Doom's been a big part of the marvel universe for a while, no telling what removing him from the past might do.
But if your in war and playing for keeps, and willing to go as far as any other piece on the table. does it matter? Doom hasn't had that much of a direct impact on mutant lives unless they pllan on retconing history. Iif eva got rid of him mutants could potentially claim a win with Decimation never happening.
Heck now that i think about it all the x-men have to do to win a battle is use their top telepaths to turn the everyday people against the monarchs and governments. They will be so busy dealing with them they won't have time to see what is coming. I think people underestimate the mutants because we know they will never go there.
Telepathy is the power most easy to block , you only need a helmet , trained mental defenses or a telepathy blocker of some type.
And all mutants powers can be easily eliminated with power dampeners or nanites like we have seen in Marauders 1 and in HoX. Even the omegas like storm or Icenan can be depowered easily.
If people of Latveria turns against him he just need to cast a spell to free them of the mind control.

And The beyonders would have destroyed the multiverse. Plus he probably has doombots in the past protecting his younger self . He created the first time machine if the MU after all.
And Tempus would need to pass over his mother, a powerful witch

And Krakoa has Magik, Forge, Captain Britain, Storm, Tempus, etc.
That would be insanely risky at best. Doom's been a big part of the marvel universe for a while, no telling what removing him from the past might do.
But the argument was that he has access to time travel too. So how is it safe if he does it but risky for them?
Put on an equal ground they would take him down easily.
-
And that lasted 5 minutes, because everyone with mental resistance or immunity would fight back
it lasted several days but not bc of that but bc Cyclops made the decision to have it reversed. Point is the mutants have the means to create a huge distraction that would give them the oppurtunity to strike

Doom at his most powerful snapped the neck of the representation of the X-Men at their most powerful.
Then again, might have been a Doombot.

Because he knows what he is doing when he time travels, he has traveled to thousands of alternate futures while Tempus barely knows how to travel to the future. When she tried to find their family she discovered that she couldn’t access to their time line anymore. She is an amateur

I'd love to see a scene in an upcoming X-Book where someone asks Magneto where he's been and he says something like:
"I had a meeting with Victor von Doom."
"Why?"
"To get some consulting advice on running a nation while being hated and feared by the world."
".... and?"
"It didn't go very well."

Here are some more things to come from the upcoming book:
So Incoming seems to reveal that Sinister may have a hand in all of this which is interesting. He may be the villain of the book and I wonder how if it will effect his relationship with Krakoa if he goes too far.
The cover for #3:

And finally, Chip Zdarsky gave us this sneak peek lol:

So there is a fight happening after all.
With the Hickmandate, the X-Men cannot lose this battle. The F4 (and Doom) are killed, their respective Marvel Comics titles cancelled, Franklin is conditioned to go to Krakoa and accept mutankind as his only family, Kate makes him a MAN, and Sinister gets his ultra-rare Chimera ingredient DNA.
And that was my HoxPoxDox-berserk trigger acting up again. Since my paltry reasons for describing Krakoa have long been unraveled by supporters' logic, I've been reduced to just disliking the standing SQ for dislike's sake. Look, some things are great, but there are simply core concepts of HoxPoxDox that make me not like it, no matter how the X-church hammers my head with the right interpretation. All the same, I have been locked in a Quixote mode for the X-franchise, so in defiance of well-meaning advice that I stop reading and following up until maybe next decade, I can never walk away from the X (anymore), no matter how much specific current developments pain my soul.
-
Oh for gods sake.
The F4 and Doom are not going to be killed, not when they have their MCU debut coming up and, more importantly, the 2099 event still ongoing.
At most I can see Franklin becoming disillusioned with superheroes and joining Krakoa, setting the stage for further conflict down the road, seeing as Sinister has a habit of his experiments backfiring.

This is Londo their go to is long winded dismissive sarcasm anytime something Krakoa related pops up. Best to just ignore them.

Are you game for Kate becoming Franklin's first and introducing him to the wondrous decadence of Krakoan polyamory?

While foolish life choices while drunk seems to be Kate’s go-to thing these days; she’s in her late twenties and he’s a teenager. If the Quiet Council really needs a honeypot they have literal legions of teenagers his age of both/variable genders to work with before they step into creepy stuff.
Besides, it would probably make things with Rachel awkward.

I hate that you're probably right. I just wind up thinking "Alright, but why do these two good teams have to be at each other's throats?"
Like they want the same frigging thing more or less (ya know, more peace less evil,) can they not just find a frigging compromise? Just hating how hard the "Us VS Them" thing is gonna be pushed 'cos ya know everyone's just gonna come out looking like an arse.

2. She's not a pedo and she's a grown woman now.
3. Rachel and Yana get new Kate's box first.

Franklin is off-limits to any non X-teen except for his betrothed Rachel.

For sure!

Yes, and then Xi'an gets sloppy thirds.

Will Johnny and Rogue reminisce about their romance in Uncanny Avengers?

Girl's married already. She probably doesn't even remember, or just eager to forget, which is easier because she never added an A-logo to her costume during her tenure.

I know Mutants are all about forgiving the past and moving forward...I’m still super bitter over Johnny betraying his friends and family for some coochie.

IvX made some “interesting” decisions and because of those “interesting” decisions, I’m sure Zdarsky will never reference this event but like...Johnny needs to get his ass beat, Krakoan-style.

I chalk it up to him being very depressed and not making sound decisions due to thinking his family was dead. Around this time he was also putting his life in jeapordy because of his depression.
The Medusa thing was bad and that entire relationship was based on him being sad and her on the rebound. It was a mess.

Sabretooth probably could or at least put up a tough as Hell battle. Sadly he's been dead for 17 years. Jobbertooth can't beat anyone. Lol If he's written properly he has very credible feats. Just sad we don't see them anymore...

Torch survived an Annihilation Wave and made Annihilus his pet. He would do the same with Sabretooth.

So you want to give Johnny, who was protecting evacuating NuHumans from Sabretooth, and later counterattacked the X-Men together with Crystal on Medusa's orders, a disproportionately heavy punishment?

Kate is lucky to be 21 at this point given the sliding timescale and the fact its barely been 10 years since the O5 were united. Scott and Jean et al are still in their late 20's.

Eh, to each his/her own.
That aside, the proposed punishment (if deserved at all) is not proportionate.

He just needs to fist fight Ororo. No powers, no weapons, no help. Ten three minute rounds since he's in shape.
Sound pretty fair, no?

Yeah I wasn’t really focusing on Sabretooth, moreso his involvement in the war overall, followed up by him claiming he was acting neutral in it all.
