I think he made peace with that in the tie in of the War of the Realms. His biggest fear was that without his powers he couldnt be part of his family adventures anymore, but after he saved the world from the Microverse invasion without power he dimished them.
Now He is just a bratty teenager

Heh who knows maybe Krakoa with it's mutant DNA technology and general knowledge can fix that...

That could be another status quo altering thing that they cover in this mini since Omega mutants aren’t supposed to have limits.

They can kill him and resurrect him with powers.
I don't think Kitty is in her late twenties. Is that just a guess, or can provide a citation?
I thought she was supposed to be around Spidey’s age?

Somehow I don’t see the Richards’ reacting well to that part of the pitch
-
They (behind the scenes/editors/JDW) recently said that Cyclops is barely in his late twenties (forget exact number but it was like 26). It seemed low but that's what they said. Doubt Spidey in his late 20's either even though he should be even with slow aging. I think Kate is early 20's.

Yeah I think O5, Ororo, Emma and such are late twenties, while Kitty and the New Mutants are early twenties.

JDW said that Scott is 28 years old
-
Hickman (and most of the people reading X-Men) see Cyclops as someone in his thirties. Which makes sense.
New Mutants: Mid to late 20s
Generation X: Early to mid 20s
New X-Men: Late teens to early 20s (they overlap with Gen X a bit)
-
Somehow I don’t see the Richards’ reacting well to that part of the pitch
Just more of their anti-Mutant feelings coming through. It's easy to say you like Mutants but then when they offer to kill your kid and resurrect him, you say no? Shameful.

This is IMO how it should be but according to JDW it's wrong.
JDW said that Scott is 28 years old.
Thanks! Now I remember better. This is what JDW thinks Scott is so we can assume the others drop a group in average age. Meaning:
O5 and Company: Late 20s
New Mutants: Mid 20s
Gen X: Early 20s
New XMEN: Late Teens
-
Character ages are always weird and hard to pinpoint in comics, but both Kitty and Rachel are too old for Franklin. He's 15/16 at most and both of them are grown.
I think one of the things I'm most interested in is Ororo's stance. She's the X-Man who knows the FF the best and if done right, her role in the book could be interesting.
-
JDW said one age, Hickman said he wrote them with another age.Who cares? Choose the one you like best and that's it.

Natural 28 or resurrected 28?
-
Natural 28 or resurrected 28?
Technically Scott has an extra decade on his consciousness from raising Cable in the future with Jean on their honeymoon(yep, that's a thing). So that helps please both crowds(he is more mature than he should be).
If the O5 were only formed about 10 years ago, Scott/Warren/Jean should be (from original date of birth/physically) about 27/28(Ororo too), Hank a year older(Betsy about the same), Bobby a year younger(with Alex and Lorna around the same).
If we are being generous with the new canon, Emma is about the same, but I would classically put her closer to Xavier's age(which is only about 15 more than the O5ers).
Kurt, Piotr, Rogue, Rachel, Xian, and Sam make up the next tier, a little younger than Bobby/Alex/Lorna(early-mid 20's now).
Then comes the rest of the NM's, Chamber, Mondo, and Kitty.(youngest 20's)
Then the rest of Gen X and the oldest of the later generations. (late teens/20ish)
Remember, Sam and Paige are siblings and only like 3 years apart, so NM, X-Forcers, and Generation X are essentially all the same age range, and the youngest mutants are still essentially teens or just barely 20.
-
You boomers just don't want Scott and co. to be that close to the zoomers. Admit it.
-
With the ressurections, anyone's actual age is irrelevant. One can die at 100 and be ressurected with a 25 year old body. So, Scott is certainly physically in his mid to late 20's, because it's really when he is at his prime physically. Mentally, who knows?
What is boomers and zoomers?
boomers = baby boomers, AKA born between 1946-1964 but pretty much used as shorthand for anyone over 40 lol
zoomers = gen z, born 1998-present

Honestly, I think Franklin is going to be a dumb teenager and run off to the island with Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister running around in hopes of getting his powers back.
Seriously, the Slott FF run has characterized Franklin as basically in a romantic relationship with his powers.

Seems like Sue and Kitty will be main ones influencing Franklin's decision. Which is nice considering Reed was the one who got most of the important moments with the kids, and I'd like more interactions between Kitty and Franklin.

LOL @ Quire straddling Ben's head.

Too bad Rachel and Franklin are no longer a thing since she's grown.
She probably has some interesting things to say to young Franklin. He should almost be the same age as her Franklin if I'm not mistaken.
Seems waaay less mature though.
-
It’ll be interesting seeing Kate be the main one vying for Franklin to come to Krakoa considering she doesn’t even have the same access to the island that her peers do. I suppose it’s a testament to how strongly she believes in what the mutants are doing.
-
I don’t think there’s any doubt Franklin’s going to join Krakoa.
The question is will he ever return to the F4 after Hickman’s plans for him are done; or will some Pymslap moment be retconned in to burn Franklin’s bridges with Reed (or, say, finding out he has Gills?)

If he goes, he ain't coming back. According to this narrative, everyone needs to go 'be with their own kind.' There's no room for nuance in that respect.
Feels kinda cheap actually.

lol Dodson isn’t even trying. Tough job ahead for Laura Martin.

Pirate Queen already plundering.

The war flashbacks to Fraction's run are real. Somebody complete the page with the fraptions and Storm answering "As you wish" to Kate.
-
Yeah that art is really odd looking for me
Weird that Kate goes straight to a warm embrace but ok
I guess I'm not remembering their strong bonds but I suppose they have them, although now in a considerably different context
X + M definitely seem like scary overkill to appear that way in front of Reed and Sue
Well, just have to find out the role Doom plays since I assume we're not doing a simplistic "Krakoa vs F4" thing at least not beyond perhaps some underlying tensions

No there isn't, its been pretty explicit that people can go if they want to. From the very first meeting of the quiet council they said that mutants can and will straddle both worlds. We're only 4 issues into the run and we've had plenty of examples of mutants who chose to stay out. Rictor, Pete Wisdom, Beak and family. Sure there has been encouragement and offers but nobody's being forced.
The pathetic state of the MU is such that very few mutants want to stay out. In Krakoa they aren't being persecuted, forced to live in sewers or murdered just because.

Franklin Richards is hardly in the same boat as them though; he lives a comfy, relatively sheltered life and appears to be held with the same adoration as his parents are despite his mutant status. The only reasons he may have to join is teenage rebellion.
Also, Rictor didn't choose to stay out; he was unable to travel as were Beak and family. They stayed to care for Beak's ailing father and stated that they did, in fact want to go.
What I'm saying that it's problematic for all mutants to have to feel that Krakoa is their only way; at least not without some in-narrative questioning. It's as annoying in a meta-sense as it is from the plot.
-
I hope Franklin dies on Krakoa and can't be resurrected. The drama alone would be great.
