Wakanda again?

yea the same is happening here in the states.
Wakanda again?
hmmm I'm not sure I would consider wakanda the end of the earth but I would be interested if tchalla is sought for his help.

I have the same wondering about T'Challa. His intellect and Wakanda's advanced tech could be helpful in this situation. The crossover seems obvious, which doesn't mean it will happen.

agreed it doesn't mean it would happy but it while seem he would be the most logical choice to contact in helping her ailment. I hope the xoffices use this as an opportunity to demonstrate the krakoan ability to work with non-krakoan to help mutants. I'm sure there would be some who would be opposed.

I agree. Some mutants would oppose reaching out to T'Challa, especially since his nation refused Krakoa drugs and are protectors of other African nations. This could be the segue into a good story for Ororo. Not the AvX crap, but an exploration into her multifaceted life--the intersectionality of Ororo's character. Also, at this point, the X-books need to directly show that Ororo and T'Challa are an established couple. I don't see that status changing at the end of Coates' BP run. If anything, I can see him doing something to affirm their commitment to and love for each other, as part of his farewell.

omg yes please no more avx. that was just tragic. I love how you describe what this could mean for ororo and how her different roles interconnect , as well as how she manages working between both worlds. hickman did mention that this issue would set the stage for her moving forward so what you've stated doesnt seem farfetched. and I would love if Hickman works to reaffirm what coates did for these two as a couple. it would be such a gift to him as coates works towards new endeavors.

I agree. As we've all noted, there is so much writers have yet to explore about Ororo's character, her relationship with T'Challa and Wakanda being only one. I love that Coates had her claim both Wakanda and Krakoa as her nations and having equal status in her heart. She shouldn't have to choose, and I doubt if she would want to. How closely Hickman stays to Ororo's mindset as established by Coates in BP is anyone's guess. He isn't beholden to Coates to carry over anything he established of her character in BP. However, they (X-writers/editors) must know that many Ororo and Ororo/T'challa fans followed her into the BP comic because they either enjoy her character and want to read more of her, regardless of the comic she is in, and/or they are fans of the pairing and BP is the only comic where they could get their Ororo/T'Challa fix.
So, with that in mind, it makes a lot of sense to me for Hickman to use some of what Coates established about Ororo in BP these past four years. Readers like consistency, when they can have it, across the comics their fav characters appear in.
Didn't we just have a "Storm gets a machine virus and almost dies, but Jean and T'Challa and some other people help her" in X-Men:Red? Come on Hickman, don't do another rip off issue.
Looking at the Synopsis for Giant Size X-Men: Storm, I think they will do a homage/or nod of Ororo being infected by the Brood. In this case, she will fight off the infection or die, and will come out of this as a different person, but not necessarily Punk. Then her goals or role in life will probably shift dramatically.
So Coates' Black Panther run is ending? I bet some BP fans are doing the tootsie roll in celebration.

Yup. I had the same thought. I don't know why this idea is being retreaded. I imagine it will have a unique twist, though.

FINALLY, you guys picked up on that.
Yes, the clothes storm is wearing SHOULD have stopped the Virus. But I guess this "Machine Virus" is more advance than Wakandan Tech since this Virus came from the Future or some Bullshit that deals with the Vault Bullshit.

Help a sista out and explain what you mean by Ororo's clothes should've stopped the virus. What am I missing about her X-uniform?

all of this is pitch perfect spot on. 100% aligned here.
to your question about the suit her xmen red outfit was supposed to protect her against sentinite made by forge which is not the same here with this virus.

this is a very interesting theory Jalysia. so by end of the world she may have to go to space or very close to it to be rid of the virus. maybe she comes out of this emerging as a pure elemental finally.

Could be it be something microscopic that she inhaled or got on the part of her skin not covered by her uniform?
Could be it be something microscopic that she inhaled or got on the part of her skin not covered by her uniform?
I dont think the uniform would have offered her any protection as it was built specifically to protect against the sentinites made by forge. her uniform even if fully covering her body wasnt designed to protect against viruses.

Very excited and hesitant on Storm Giant Size .
Hickman team have been doing drastic and somewhat permanent moves.
So whatever happens, it going to be significant.
Almost threw up and past out at the thought of her becoming a full elemental being. Because we are now in the realm of possibilty become reality
Hey guys, how would you feel if Storm was an Eternal? Hence the WindRider traits.
We already know who and what Storm is so...no. Let's not muddy pristine waters with Eternal detritus.

Well got dang. I was just exploring ideas.. I mean we say she's a Goddess but we still got no bottom line as to what that means.

right??? it is so crazy where we are as fans. omega level confirmed, real goddess confirmed. its very possible her becoming a full elemental will occur as well.

can you explain how windrider traits to an eternal?
I have to bring to everyone's attention a conversation I had with a storm guru BBeryan. He brought to my attention some things ororo did in issue 21 of BP. He referred to he as the queen of multitasking. Not only was she causing plants to grow and tempering with the microclimates but in doing so she did the following:
- Increased temperature in some ships
- Removed the air in some ships
- Flash froze the people in some ships

I'm totally amazed with what Coates demonstrated ororo performing. the last time she attempted to channel so much energies in space it nearly killed her. her gift of godhead is one that is truly awe inspiring!
Well got dang. I was just exploring ideas.. I mean we say she's a Goddess but we still got no bottom line as to what that means.
If any...ANY...exploration into Storm's Goddess-hood must occur, it should concern her African Matrilineal Heritage and their divine connection to the Pure African Deities through the ages, only.
No Alien space Gods from distant galaxies rubbish. We have enough Eternal spawn running around the MU already.

Thanks for sharing as I too did not realize the multiple ways she was using her powers.
I also found the art when Storm initially launches her attack to be awesome:

Is that what that was. I didn't even notice someone was being flashed frozen.
Yeah his writing style must have been hard to translates over to art.

the villains of this event at the cotati, plant alliens you see in empyre x-men cover, the massive plant creature in wakanda mini, the kree skrull union wants to defeat the plant aliens so that's probably the alliance

Thats not entirely true. Vulcan went to war with the Kree which involved the spae X-men at the time. Xavier led a fleet of Skrulls called Cadre K around the time of Claremont's first return to the X-men during the Maximum Security crossover

So, they probably have some Ties to Krakoa then.

That's probably why we are having such a hard time splitting the Difference in her powers.

Then it's most likely something to do with this Cotati Kree Alien then......
It doesn't 'read' as a flash freeze...where's the frost breath?
It just looks like the pilot under normal lighting, realising something is wrong then...the red lighting indicating air/breathing systems failures then...they fall to the ground gasping for air.
If it was a flash freeze (I'm not saying that it isn't)...then the writer and artist are both incompetent.

I mean this is really up to YOUR interpretation of the feat.
A minute ago some thought this was an Omega lvl feat and some did not. NOW we are debating if the guy was Flash Frozen as oppose to other ships needing air etc etc.
I think the Artist did what they could to figure out what Coates was trying to convey in his writing and the artist thought of this . It's still a good feat. Not a WOW factor, but good.
So...the writer wasn't very clear in his script...enh.

I didnt either but I think the artist tries to convey this with the color choice used. with Njadaka and Killmonger the artist uses the hot red (remember he kept asking is it getting hot) and with the soldier he uses a frosty blue to convey the opposite of cold temperatures.
also keep in mind before we see the soldier the ships collide and we then see him frozen, as the others move in agonizing pain.
