what would be awarding for you in this regard?
Ha, now that's a question. Well, like you, I'm a fan of Ororo/T'Challa relationship, so I would like that to continue and be "cemented" as the norm for the foreseeable future. I would like her godhood to also be recognized and explored/explained. It would be cool if she was simply shown chilling with her family--reminding readers that she still has family on both sides. Do we even know her goals, drives, aspirations? What is it that she wants for herself? I would love to know.

I'm in 100% agreement with all that you said. One other thing I would love to see is for her to actually fight to address issues within the black community specifically African American issues as she is an African American. I know stories like this don't necessarily translate well as evident by BP&C but I think these types of stories would make her character resonate so much more with me as a reader. however, if none of that is addressed I would be in heaven with the things you mentioned.
I truly believe she is Marvels equivalent to WW and it would be nice is she had her own little corner of the MU that ties directly to her bloodline and goddess pantheon.
-
Considering how often her "victory in 2 seconds" fight against Callisto is brought up regulary, i can't help but imagine Marrow going. "Oh sure. She stabs Callisto non-leathaly once and everyone remembers. But i get my heart torn out by her and nobody cares."
it seems ororo really is an important player, categorically evidence has been shown. Phew its nice to get to the event that was teased to have good storm content and it exists!
Don't get your hopes up too much. Her role could still end up just having a big speech, a single fight scene and otherwise just throwing lightning around.

I think if her maternal and paternal relatives were shown, you could get those kinds of stories--staying away from stereotypes, of course. Basically, we want a three-dimensional characterization of Ororo. We want to see her do mega goddess-level shit but also snuggle with the man she loves after a long day and call her grandparents to check on them because COVID-19 is a bitch and the elderly are a vulnerable population.
To borrow from Coates, I would like an Ororo/Storm Unbound.

To be fair, Ororo did stab Callisto in the heart, fatally. Healer was just conveniently on hand to restore her. Lobdell's editorially-mandated copy can never compare, even if he and MAD doubled down on the gruesome factor(and Sarah happened to have a spare heart without s bomb in it....).

Didn't the Maurader's artist post a picture of T'Challa looking mad/sad over something? I wonder if it's from the issue.

Oh indeed. There is a reason why the Callisto fight is a classic which even made it to the first cartoon (with energy swords) and the Marrow one a footnote if remembered at all. Poor girl never had a true stand out moment for herself. Hence my jesting about her being all pouty about being forgotten.
Also you are right, she stabbed Callisto fataly. I guess, my mistake of remembering it as not fatal, was because i remembered that bit wrong where Nightcrawler informed Storm that Callisto is going to make it thanks to Healer. Likely because of the "did you know she wouldn't die?" question he asked her.
Little sidenote. It was not only a spare heart but also her healing factor. A second heart would not be enough to recover from the big hole in the chest. Which she actualy had even before the fight started. Talk about self sabotage.

I'm sooooo excited so much storm news! I can't remember the last time our gurl got this much love from the xbooks.

The pages look good. Hickman can do great one and dones. Even though the other GS issues were kinda meandering, maybe he can finish strong. At least the art will be excellent. Bright Lady be merciful! *fingers crossed*

And the fact the tweet said “sad” means this is more than just some small inconvenience. But that pic could easily be some flashback or him just being in his feelings about his responsibilities or whatever, so I wouldn’t put much stock in it.
Though it does seem a bit odd that IF Marvel wanted to break them up they’d do it in a single unceremonious issue. You’d think there’d be some Storm-centric Marauders arc set in Wakanda that ended up breaking the two apart. Not some tie-in issue like they did in AvX. If they’re gonna break them up, do it with respect to both parties lol.

The art is gorgeous and Dauterman is handsome too as well as being talented :)

He is kinda cute, incidentally.
I'm hoping for an elemental transmutation of her body! That's the one thing Iceman has on her that we know from other stories she has the potential for, that she hasn't done yet. Give us a true Omega moment Hickman!

Yea i was trying to think about what could tchalla be sad about as he rarely if ever if ever shows that particular emotion. It has to be something pretty heavy. Hell, he didn't even show himself sad when he annulled their marriage so maybe a break up isn't it. Perhaps someone dies or he feels like he failed in doing something to protect Wakanda and/Ororo.
I agree with your last points but I've learned never put anything pass the xoffices lol.

That was what I was hoping for initially when it was said she was going to the edge of the world to find a cure in the solicit but when it was to be Fantomex's world my hopes of that happening were greatly diminished. But im still hopefully he will deliver a good storm moment for us that translate to a true omega moment.

Fr T’Challa tends to be a pretty cold dude so it’ll be interesting to see what gets him all emotional. A death could definitely work now that you mention it. Isn’t Gentle still his ward/protege or something? If he died, especially while Storm was in Wakanda I could see him getting worked up about that.
Regardless of what it is, I hope neither character comes out looking bad. I may not be a big fan of the romance anymore but I want both characters to get their due as the best black characters in Marvel’s roster. It’d be a shame to see that pettiness from AvX again when there’s definitely more interesting things to do with Wakanda and Krakoa.

Yes agreed I want tchalla to be given love as well ororo. no throwing either under the bus is not what I want to read. As far as Nehzno I'm not sure the nature of their relationship but I dont see him being sad close to to the point of tears over him

A short while back, someone was kind enough to post a list of important Storm BP issues. Could someone point me

I can't compliment Dauterman enough for making Storm's hair so beautiful and voluminous. It's a crime how small and flimsy other artists draw her ponytail. They should be taking notes.
Thanks. I must've missed this pic. What book is it from?
not 100% sure but its looking like its from the next issue of Marauders.

the "this issue ties in more to whats more relevant to hickman"S plan" has been a constant from them, man storm hasnt been looked better in terms of skin tone, bullying does work.
Also a mauraders preview where kitty shares panel time with storm and doesnt even consume it visualy, bless you Ayala

Ororo would never willingly defile himself with tattoos... Yet, here she is prasing Kitty for doing so. What's she going to do next -- pollute the land, oceans, and atmosphere with -- Abrin, Brevetoxin, Colchicine, Digitalis, Nicotine, Ricin, Saxitoxin, Strychnine, Tetrodotoxin, and Trichothecene?
Wasn't there a scene when Storm had the Mohawk that she told Kitty she wasn't her mother and not to treat her like one?
-
Wasn't there a scene when Storm had the Mohawk that she told Kitty she wasn't her mother and not to treat her like one?
Exactly, this was a reference to Kitty being judgmental as hell when Storm was going through personal and aesthetic changes, so now they can joke about it since Kitty is going through something similar. Also, why would Storm berate Kitty’s life choices when she just came back to life?
-
And love the reference to the Mohawk estrangement...

I think it stemmed from a Twitter thread that had been floating around weeks ago, which pointed out animators lightening black characters, who was dark skinned years before. Such notable changes were Orange Blossom from Strawberry Short Cake, who went from dark brown with Afro puffs, to lighter brown with silky straight hair, Layla/Aisha and Flora from The Winx Club, the two black kids from Magic School Bus, and a few others. Ororo and Monet were the last straw.

I cant say I'm surprised by this but I'm so happy socual media exists where people can hold these companies/creators accountable for this stuff. I saw some of the others you mentioned too. you saw the developers had to change her on marvek future fight after the backlash due to her being whitewashed. I hope all this pressure keeps the marvel execs aware that another whitewashed storm aint gone cut it.

In one of the early issues of Marauders, Kitty said that there's a country in Africa that can't publicly accept Krakoan drugs without falling into civil war. Whether that country is Wakanda or not is hard to say but all the other non-treaty African nations, Kenya, Canaan, and Azania are "economic protectorates" of the kingdom and probably answer to T'Challa.
Now outside it being out of character for Wakanda to have what amounts to colonies, maybe that's what Storm came to address? Is there some sort of problem with mutants in East Africa, perhaps her homeland, that she's come to talk about with T'Challa and his family? This would also tie into what we know from X-Force.
In the first issue of that series it was said that non-treaty nations will get "monthly visits" from Krakoan emissaries about mutant affairs and accepting the drug deal. Kinda like how Magneto offered Hodari the chance to take the deal, maybe Storm is trying to get Wakanda to accept mutant drugs and make their protectorates do the same.

I wonder how those three countries in particular came to be in dealings with Wakanda? Seems odd they would need to do anything through wakanda honestly.
With this being a Sword of X event I doubt it will be a discussion relating to not wanting to accept krakoan drugs and something regarding the sword shown in the preview. But i wouldn't mind the things you mentioned being explored.
